Just ordered an anker, I'll have 4 batteries, three different backs now, lol. I go kayaking and canoe overnight in the warm weather(not now in Ohio, lol) it will be nice having plenty of power for even the long weekends, batteries don't last long unless I go airplane mode since I'm out away from good service, roaming in the sticks kills the batteries quick, like streaming music while I paddle and watch a movie in the tent with my kids, hope it works well .

Uea I fewl ya. I got the stock. A anker. And 2 china specials 6500ma coming in the mail. So ill be good for week or 2 of normal use. I was pushing it all day to get hours on screen time for comparison. For a first charge it went twice stock battery. Cant ask for more m

Can someone tell me why you would need to double the life of a battery that already goes all day? And I mean needing the extended battery day to day. I can understand long trips where no charging is available, but that's why you have a battery bank. With the size of this phone, an extended battery turns this thing into a brick. I just can't understand why take on the extra thickness when the stock battery goes all day.

The extended Hyperion goes for only 15 bucks. If I didn't like it I'd feel no compunction to keep it on. As far as the extended battery being brickish.....are we not referring to a brick size Note 2 already in stock form? You have not given consideration to those with poor signals which sap batteries or those who do allot of syncing with numerous accounts. There are many reasons to own the extended.....there is no need to justify them.

Yea. And to me the extended feels better in my hands. Like someone else said less like a hersheys bar. I was used to my tbolt withe the huge extended battery. Maybe that influnces my decision. But to me I love it so far. 12 plus hours screen on. Itll go 2 to 3 days normal work days for me no problem. Also I wory about usb port. Thays what killed my tbolt. Yes its replaceable. But still lingers in the back of my mind. Hence why I tore her open the first week. Soldered tabs on the mainboars. Dremmeled holes the back case for tabs and did the wireless charging mod to it. Yea its poss. On the verizon version. But yo warrenty is gone. And you gota have somewhat of a clue with a soldering iron. So I also like my phone to be a little different than every body elses. Hense the mods and roms. Peace out

did you just solder to where the usb connected to and have those pins come out the back?

No you solder where the open ones have them at. The motherboard has the marks on it just carefully solder some tabs on there.

Not really sure why, I don't need it. But for $30 for both I thought I would see what it's all about.
