I really enjoy using Nova as well, I have tried touch wiz, apex, and go launcher as well.
Go has a huge amount of customization available from widgets to texting apps, and can make for a very personalized device. However, I find it to be "annoying" to use, and I really do not care for the interface out of personal preference. Seems to have a lot of "fufu" which is why my ex preferred it on her skyrocket.
Apex is nice, and offers a lot of features, and you can customize a lot with it, but as far as ease of use is concerned it is not my number one. Not that I have trouble with it, but I feel there are more intuitive options like Nova.
TouchWiz really pissed me off. I love a lot of the features, but the app drawer and home screen really irked me. I like to customize it to my liking, because I have always ran AOSP until I got this S3. So to not be able to move things around that I had was too much of a restriction for me.
Nova is the bomb! Very intuitive with plenty of customization options to choose from. It gets the job done, and has a pretty intuitive interface. I would imagine the average user to enjoy Nova launcher over the others.
