gonna update firmware, using freeza's release minus h-boot 1.57.... wish i had of downloaded chads linuxs 3 kernel now, as his kernels on androidfilehost are locked down at the moment. Let's see if AOKP 4.0.4 likes this virgin mobile firmware leak. I don't see why not.....I'll let you guys know

im running a beta of one of his 3.0 kernels now everything works but battery reporting and it broke front facing cam

It didn't like mine.
You MUST be on the uodated firmware to run a 3.0 kernel the one in the univerisal zip doesnt work on this
Almost, but backwards.... For most people, the 3.0 kernel won't boot, unless they update the firmware first

UPDATE: Everything went smooth, flashed the PG86IMG from Freeza http://www.androidfilehost.com/main/EVO_3D_Developers/Freeza/ everything seems to work just fine, data, calls, etc..... I suspect no functionality changes until a kernel surfaces. If you want another tester PM me, i literally have nothing better to do from 9-5.
***worth noting that I am using the Anthrax_Shooter-ics-universal-RLS04 kernel from 4/30

thanks i wont work on it till night and its going to be a while i need to go through the leak and find what libs are usefull so just lots of flashing

so sorry for my ignorance on the matter but is the update safe to flash at this point? i looked around at found its a virgin mobile leak. if you do flash it do you need to revert to something sense based then flash or just flash through bootloader while still on m5? and is it actually booting for everybody now?
You can flash Freeza's zip, it only contains firmware stuff (radios, etc) and won't touch the OS.... So really you won't notice a difference, but we're speculating that and upgrade to 'asdp' (part of the firmware) now allows everybody to run the 3.0 ICS kernel
No unfortunate it doesn't on my phone.
Also I can NOT receive MMS messages. It gives me a download option but it never successfully shows me anyone's mms messages.
Its a great ROM otherwise. My phone is vital for photo taking at work so I will most regrettably have to flash back to the previous ROM I have nandroided.
MMS works if you download another message service like GOSMS. Its been a know ICS problem on all build so far. But I can't help you on the camera. I usually just open the FFC then take a screenshot.

Gosms huh? I will try it. I tried handsent but it was a no go. I wish I.could use screen shot but the camera produces a green colored screen. And if I shoot it force closes.
The front facing camera is not green and his point was that if you use the built in screenshot function rather than clicking the actual camera button, you will get a similar effect
aaronpoweruser you have a general ETA (not rushing you) just super amped about this whole leak thing! I hate sense and don't want to go back and was hoping it would be a short time till this was updated. (wishful thinking mostly). I love this ROM (favorite of all the ICS ROM's) and want to keep using it so I'm super interested in the progress if any.
I should have a build out tonight I have been working on my tree this weekend and testing new libs, I can put something up in q couple hours no major changes tho

ok now the goods this is an aokp source build based off of 4.04, I will update this a few days after teamkang post a new build, im really busy so I will drop in when I can for support but please post bugs here I can't test everything

Ok have to talking to agrbren and finally sitting down to do this i have an m6 build with a nice surprise, sadly jb is much farther out than i thought and m6 is the last ics aokp build till jelly bean so pending no issues on this build im going back into my cave with my nexus 7 (check out my rom)
