and what about the first Q', have you ever observed the smoothness when kept your phone on charging ? I am concerned, because I suspect the device that was sold to me was a faulty one, though I have never experienced any network drops, or intermittent connectivity since the beginning.

I haven't observed more smoothness while charging.It works normally.

What is that app with icon in top left corner? Try to remove it and see is it the same. Some antivirus? Android do not need antivirus.
