Flashed this yesterday after full wipe (factory reset, wipe cache, dalvik, internal), flashed rom and gapps, let it sit for 10 mins, reboot, then re download all apps via Google account.

Things are working great so far, but found a few that puzzled me, wondering if others saw similar issues.

Downloaded secure setting, and when I click on the helper tab, it shows me the helper tab for about 1 second, then quit the app without notice. Tried it multiple times, same thing, but only on the helper tab. Uninstall, reinstall, same thing. After about 3 reboot, I was finally able to click on helper tab just fine. So no issue now, but it was just weird.

Second, my contact got all messed up. The contact name will get associated with other people phone or email. So for example, when a WhatsApp message came in, it will say from Tom, but it was actually from Paul. When I check my contact for Paul, it does have that number, but when I click on that contact, it say Tom, not Paul.
Same for email. I received an email from Ray, then click reply, and in my 'to' section, it said to Natalie. Went and check my contact, there are two Natalie, one is the correct one, the other when I click on it, the the name on the top said Ray, but if I click the back button, it say Natalie in the list view. I'm confused, so I cleared my contact storage. So far it hasn't happen again, but don't know if other people notice something similar.

Ls 4.2.2r rom official

I just flashed the updated LiquidSmooth 4.2.2 OFFICIAL ROM. Anyone getting the following error when installing some apps from playstore: "Unknown error code during application install: -24"

Also this update seems to have slowed things down for me.

Google the error, see what it tells you. And, it's not"stable" for all.

I just googled some of the keywords and found about 10 pages of stuff on it. Try harder lol. I think you should factory reset from within the ROM itself.

lol, let me rephrase. I did find results, but none that help me solved the issue. some were saying to delete the com.* file from the data folder which didn't work. I restored to the stable version, i will try your suggestion later. thanks

If I were to tell you guys how to fix the headphones control bug would you all be happy to go back to rc2? until the 3.4 kernels come stable stable... Let me know and I'll post the fix or just a build with the fix implemented.

Yes! Thats actually a brilliant idea bro. I would totally do it and keep LS as my back up as I'm currently using DeviantXONE.

Its two files that need to be deleted out of the old ROM and replaced with the different ones... So pretty much its a delete and replace and reboot and test.

Delete the file from /system/usr/keylayout/generic.kl and replace with this same file name in the same location. http://db.tt/mvg1AWCp

Delete the file from /system/usr/keychars/generic.kcm and replace with http://db.tt/Pckjd8Jm

Tried about 50 things and this was all it needed to be fixed lol. I've been at work forever and my brain is mush now so forgive me if this is hard to understand lol. After all is done reboot and you should be good.

Its my stable AOSP go to ROM, for now of course lol.

Well that doesn't tell us anything, only you thought it was enough info to get an answer. Charging issue can be an abundance of things.

Navigation Issues

Hey guys, just to start, my GPS is working and it can lock. It seem at random times while navigating, my location while driving won't keep a constant update. As in, you should see the little blue arrow relative to streets, highways, etc. However, it will only update sparingly before it eventually says "Searching for GPS". Again, this is random for the past three weeks. It was fine earlier today, but less than an hour ago, wouldn't keep a constant update for actual navigation use.

Even though my GPS isn't broken completely, in the sense that it can't lock, I've done the GPS fixes in going back to a Root66 TW ROM and doing the tinkering. From there, I restored the backup I made of this ROM, went out for a drive, and same thing.

Right now, I'm going back to Root66 to see if it replicates. I'm wondering if I just need to reinstall this ROM again. Will report results.

Update: Works perfectly fine on Root66. Will redownload the ROM and test.

Updated: Installing 4/5 LS, working fine. For now, at least. That's enough gas wasted:silly:...

Voice Search FC

I hope I'm posting this in the right area and I didn't see anyone else with this issue (so it's likely me). Anytime I try to do a voice search in an app I get a FC of the app Google Now, Play Store, 3rd Party App, Chrome, etc.). Attached is my logcat and here was my install process w/ ClockworkMod Recovery v6.0.3.0:

  1. Wipe data/factory reset (x3)
  2. Wipe cache partition (x3)
  3. Wipe dalvik cache (x3)
  4. Format /system (x3)
  5. Install Liquid v2.1 STABLE
  6. Install Gaaps 20130301
  7. Reboot

Haven't run into any other issues thus far. Didn't have this problem when I was on the RC2 version. Hopefully someone might have some insight (I'm a bit of a noob/lurker).

**Edit** I updated Google Search in the Play Store and it's working now.

not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but i just ran the latest official (4/5/13) and noticed that there are a couple apps that close once i open them. its not a fc but after i open the app and everything loads, it closes. it happened to my google play music a couple times then i opened it again and it didnt close. same went for the play store. the tumblr app is the one that always closes. i even did another full wipe and everything and same thing.. im not sure what other apps close, havent gotten around to checking yet.

also, there are times when the phone freezes and shuts off. i'll press the power or home keys and the hardware keys light up but not the screen.

Wait till the next build. All of these bugs should be fixed.

I'm currently running the 3/16 release of 2.1 LS. The only bugs I've encountered is when playing music and turning off/on the screen, the song skips for about a second. Also I've noticed a few force closes of Xposed Installer when uninstalling an app.

Anyways overall the rom is great, but should I wait on newer release for bug resolutions?

    ACTUAL Q&A

    Remember these guys take a lot of time out of their lives to do all this for free. They build the rom the way they want it, and they use it too. Be respectful, if you don't like the way it is or what they chose, then move on and use what you prefer.

    Here is the Q&A part.

    I am having troubles installing the Liquid Illusion rom: INSTALL PROCESS
    Boot into recovery: From Power off
    -Volume UP & Home button & Power Button at the same time! Hold until little vibrate and Blue text in top left corner, now you can release.
    -wipe data\factory reset, cache, system.
    -Install ROM
    -Install GAPPS (Google APPS) Latest 13, Mar 01
    -Boot & let sit for 5 minutes (lets cache and scripts run)
    -Sign in to Google and if Restoring I feel it's best to let it sit and install all those apps before messing with the phone.
    -Enjoy, or how some say it "PROFIT" ;)


    If dirty flashing from this rom and OP does not require a Dirty Flash
    The recommended upgrade procedure should be:
    -Backup/Nandroid - Optional
    -Format /System - Should be automatically done
    -Wipe cache
    -Wipe Dalvik cache
    -Install ROM
    -Install GAPPS
    -Reboot System
    ​

    Nightlys will have their own issues probably, and always. Now most common one is flickering, try a custom kernel that is built after 4-19.​

    In interface.
    1. Notification img in landscape can be changed
    2. Transparency can be adjusted to your liking
    3. Notification shortcuts can be added from 4-16 of them
    4. Recent Rambar is customizable
    5. Vibration Multiplier is now here, able to lower/raise haptic feedback of capacitive buttons natively.

    Lockscreen
    1. Buttons this will allow while on the lock screen to hold one of the capacitive/physical buttons to complete an action ie: torch, or skip track.
    2. a bunch of widget options for the lockscreen
    3. change the transperency of the lock screen
    4. Lock screen shortcuts
    5. Have the option to have up to 8 targets in lockscreen slider
    6. instead of just tapping on the lockscreen shorcuts you can set it to long press to open those.

    PowerWidget is like the toggle mod in TouchWiz or older builds of AOSP

    Quicksettings/4.2 Tiles
    1. You can disable it altogether
    2. Quick pulldown is the option to pull from left or right corners to immediately jump into quicksettngs
    3. Tiles and Layout hold all the options availale

    SatusBar
    1. Brightness control (must have auto brightness unchecked) allows you to slide your finger left to right accross the status bar to adjust brightness extremely handy with this display vs sun light lol
    2. Notification count, it shows a little blue number next to a notification if you have multiple ones.
    3. Then you have your clock options (right and center) Battery icons, clock and date looks and such.
    4. then color of the satus bar is changeable as well, all colors available (pretty much). You can change the transparency for launcher, launcher & Lockscreen, or all in all everywhere.

    Display
    1. CRT Screen options for on and off, off looks realy nice like a slight subtle dim.
    2. Notification Light options are in here if you are new to CM LED.

    Accessibility
    1. I add this cause it is overlooked a lot.
    2. magnification gestures (Takes three taps).
    3. Large text optoin for those Gramps & Grams.
    4. Power Button to end a call.
    5. Home button answers a call.

    Developer Options
    1. Change transmissions/animations to .5 for warp speed.
    2. kill app via back button.

    NOW FOR SYSTEM APPS ;)

    Messaging
    1. Group messaging is available (yes like the iPhone).
    2. Privacy mode (obvious what that does).
    3. Shop popup for incoming texts and quick reply is available.
    4. One of those sought out features of making a call by putting phone to face while in the text thread of the party you wish to call, is available via Direct Call.
    5. Messaging font size.

    Currently Known bugs, work arounds, and suggestions/tips.
    -A2DP (streaming music and phone calls) its fixed with 4.2.2 except for a couple of unhappy users.


    -Video calls (Skype, Google Hangouts, Tango) Mixed reviews, sorry. I had low audio, some report that all is great though.


    -Camera works all in all but NO PHOTOSPHERE. While taking an image with flash the image will show without flash, but it saves normally.


    -Picasa sync does not work

    -Getting an error reading "cannot read /data/xposed/modules.whitelist", you need to go to System settings>Interface>DPI Installer>Install. It will stop the popup.

    -Battery!!!!!!
    It will improve as the days go by, or get worse depending on what you do, NO one can tell how good battery is until at least 2 charges, so don't ask "how is battery" 6 hours after it is uploaded. Battery varies for every person, I don't play many games on my phone, Bike Race is the only one. I get 4 hours on screen time, and 12 hours of use. With MY light usage I get 1 day 16 hours with 2.5-3 hours screen on time. Everyone will have different results with their phones setup differently.


    -Screen shot is done by Volume down and Power! Or by "power menu" settings>rom control>power menu>Select "Show ScreenShot" hold power button to view.
