[Q] Wifi Tether issues

I just moved and have yet to get my cable and net set up so I figured I'd fall back on good old Wifi Tether for Root, problem is it doesn't work

From what I can tell it doesn't seem to send out a signal for my laptop to connect to. Anyone know how to fix it?

I'm running stock 2.3.4, rooted but bootloader is locked cause I live in 4g

Try this just requires root and has done me well

Edit: if thats what you tried id try a different version of it, theres a few up for DL on their site

Ends you have to change some settings, device to galaxy s and type to Master. Works great for me

will using the wifi tethering app not charge me extra on bill each month? wasn't to tether but can not afford to do it
