Re: [ROM][OFFICIAL][4.2.2] PAC-Man ROM v22.0.1 [AOSPA + AOKP + CM10.1] (3/29/13)

I dont know who this is to, but I am gmail sync issues. I am on the latest build and latest gapps. I thought that it was something I froze, it was not. Thought I flashed the wrong gapps, nope. Flashed the last 2 builds of gapps, wiped caches after installs.... gonna go back to build 20. I do like the added options and supersu being apart of setting though.

Swapped back to 20 and sync is working. Any clues??

Re: [ROM][OFFICIAL][4.2.2] PAC-Man ROM v22.0.1 [AOSPA + AOKP + CM10.1] (3/29/13)

I know you work very hard on development and I really appreciate it. There are a few things that I would really like fixed in future builds. Here is my list:

1) Wireless Display
I would really like to use this but none of the builds have utilized this function completely. The option is there for Wireless display under
the Display settings but there is no way to turn Wireless display on. If you could add an on/off switch for Wireless display that would be
awesome.
2) PIE toggle
The PIE toggle in the quick settings panel doesn't work. I'm sure this is known because it's new and is bound to have bugs. Just
mentioning it in case no one else had. It's not a big deal to have this toggle but I just wanted to let you know it opens camera instead of
toggling PIE.
3) Quick settings panel
I noticed when I change the quick settings panel Tiles per row to 4 or 5, the font becomes a little too big on the tiles and you can't read it
all. This is nothing major but it would be nice to see an option for font size on the toggles themselves. That would be really neat.
4) Music Effects
From my experiences with music effects, it doesn't work. When you have more than one equalizer it asks "always" or "just once" for
choosing the equalizer. I think this should be changed around a bit but I don't know how. It just doesn't seem like it is working as it
should. I could be wrong but I love listening to music on my device and using an equalizer to get the best sound and on this ROM I found
it difficult to use the music effects thing under the Sound settings.

I know these may seem like things that don't need fixing but I love your ROM and I feel like if these were fixed it would really improve your ROM.

I'm actually on vacation right now :p, but I will definitely see what I can do to try and polish some of the issues you mentioned when I get back. The things you mentioned should be pretty reasonable to fix.

I just deleted Gmail from the system dir, rebooted and reinstalled from market to fix mine. No issues since.

I dirty flashed and was getting random reboots as well. Still not sure if it's just my phone being dumb.

I was having the same problem. Drecu recommended lean kernel and I have been up and running now for 4.5 hours without a reboot. I'll report further tomorrow but for now that seems like a good fix.

I just performed a full flash (Wipe system, wipe data/factory reset, install) and Android seems to think that a lot of my files are missing, in particular a large chunk of internal storage and the entire external SD. The files are still there, since they're seen from RootExplorer. I can't even restore backups since they're not found in CWM, but I can find them in RootExplorer.

Any clues as to what's wrong?

Ok I've been running lean kernel on the latest build with no reboots for about 15 hours now. I did have one frozen screen though while making a call that required a battery pull.

Three calls since then, one over an hour and no issues. Battery is great too using lean kernel and a clean install

I too can confirm perfect performance and great battery life from lean kernel 5.1 which was put out yesterday. Had one screen freeze with 5.0.10 which was out on the 30th but the latest one out on the 31st yesterday has been rock solid.

Next time it freezes or has an SOD, try pulling the last_kmsg so I can at least try to debug your issues.

Had to do a clean flash before I saw this... every time the screen turned off, it wouldn't wake. It was on a dirty flash though, but I'll let you know if anything like that happens again

Got another SOD after the clean flash... now I'm wondering if it's something I messed up in Tasker (I just started using it, but I haven't done anything so complex that it would cause this). But I tried pulling a last_kmsg in Terminal Emulator using this
Code:
cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/last_kmsg.txt
found on here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1520508. Unfortunately, I'm getting an error
Code:
sh: cat: /proc/last_kmsg: No such file or directory

I'll keep trying though

Are you using the stock kernel included? I know that some custom kernels do not have a last_kmsg. You could also try the latest leankernel or kt747 test and see if it fixes your SoD's.

Nightlies for this device have been added to the buildbox and will appear at http://www.pacman.basketbuild.com/ when they are built and uploaded. The script is set to run at 1am PST, so the first batch of nightlies should appear tomorrow...stay tuned... :good:

[ROM][OFFICIAL][4.2.2] PAC-Man ROM Nightly Builds for SCH-I535 (GMail fixed!!)

    Original OP

FYI we are actively updating to 4.4. Do not ask for eta...this will take time to sort out but will be worth it

FYI pac-4.4 branch has been merged into pac github and gerrit. No alpha or nightlies yet but very soon. Feel free to poke around and if daring enough build for yourself. For those who wish to wait...please no eta as we are working as fast as we can. This is a full aosp base with commits brought I'm from all over with our own stuff added as well. Not all featured are added yet but will be over the next few weeks

    XDA Moderator
    13
There will be an rc soon. Within next day or two then nightlies again if needed. We are staying inline with cm. There were a ton of commits push last night that fixed a lot of stuff and brought in more stability. Still a few more things left to do but they will get done.

Sorry I've been out of town all weekend at a beach resort and got engaged
