and are your apn settings right? i'd assume you can send stuff on wifi just not tmo data connect right??? try double checking the apn settings and if need be even go as far as pressing menu and restore apn settings then restart and see if that works. also as a theory try checking your ril.. if its mismatched it could be possible that would affect it.. Although its a long shot.. but sounds logical..

Going from 1.6 to 1.7 does it require a full wipe or can I just go ahead and install over it? any instructions please?

What's the difference between Clean and Dirty Bacon?

The 1.7 script has a wipe code in it when you flash. There is no 'dirty' flashing with 1.7 unless you mod the updater-script. but the differences are the clean version has no themes or HF related stuff... versus the dirty version is full of HF bacony goodness... :)

Definitely FULL WIPE! You going from ICS 4.0.3 to 4.0.4. Use the Nullifier.

"Clean" is basically Stock ICS, and here in Helllandia, we Hellions call it Ham. :cool:

"Dirty" has all of Hell's awesome tweaks and mods ... which if you like them, then that means that you, too, are a Hellion not just an average crack flasher. This is what we call Bacon because of its tasty, greasy, juicy goodness. :p

I thought the only difference was no theming in the clean version... I didn't know I was missing out on tweaks?:confused:

If I flash dirty and then glasstopia over that will it get rid of all the red?

Short answer = yes.

Longer answer = yes but if something in glasstopia that was themed for 1.5 (the last version it was modified for) was modified by hell in 1.7 then glasstopia will overwrite it and you may lose a tweak.

I haven't followed glasstopias thread so I'm not sure though.

Ok so my version 1.6 says Android 4.0.4 not 4.0.3... so can I go ahead and install it without wiping anything?

Ok so you're saying that both the CLEAN and DIRTY versions have a script that will wipe everything as soon as I execute the file at startup?

Then I need to follow the 10 min rule by letting the phone sit and then reboot again so I can use it correct?

You have to make your rom to read lun0/file and lun1/file. Currently your rom is mounting only lun/file... but my kernel don't have what your rom mounts. It needs numbered luns 0 for sd card and 1 for internal. Commits you cherry picked from cm repo should get you proper way of doing this. I did my kernel changes to mount both storage, rom side depends on ROM dev. Owain knows it, i have not looked into rom code much so can't help any further. Your ums commit should lead you to exact location on where luns are stored in sys.
I have stock rom running so can't check it out for you currently.

You will need to figure it out or ask Owain.
