Heres the good news, the bad news, some good news and even more good news
The good
I have two computers that I call May and Amy. They are identical in every way - they are both AMD 64 x2 PCs with (now with anyway) 4GB DDR2 RAM. They are not that brilliant in spec but will do for regualr builds.
The bad
Mays thermal paste went all
after I replaced the heatsink a while back and didn't take it off at all. Poor May idles around 65c and wont even run Ubuntu without turning itself off of overheat.
More good
Fortunatly a kind guy called chicle_11 has been kind enough to donate some money to me so I can buy the best thermal paste I could find on amazon. I am waiting for it to be delivered now.
EVEN MORE GOOD
Thanks to the awesome guys at goo.im (a server I have been using for a while now for private file hosting and .sense hosting) who have been hosting the builds we can (by Monday according to snipa) have access to their buildbox
, meaning that soon I can wright a script (I wanna increase my knowledge of SSH and shell a bit so I wanna code this myself) to preform
nightly builds of CM9 for the marvel and if things go well with me talking to jmz tonight maybe even
nightly builds of CM9 for the marvelc too
. Give me a few weeks for me and goo.im to prepare this to work. For now Amy will compile our builds, because we love her. My laptop needs some rest from all of this work on compiling now as it nearly killed it last time
