Yes, give me 10 mins. and will update.

Edit: We have boot !! :D

Edit 2: Curly, don't get carried away :silly: - I know what you are thinking. I just tried the Pacman rom with this fix = no workie :(

Thanks...I'm assuming triple wipe, flash ROM, flash gapps, flash fix and reboot. Will give it a go in a few. As in when the downloads complete :)

Okay...I tried a few different ways. Always wiping first, then flashing. Sometimes rebooting between flashes. Whatever I do, I get an error regarding security. Has an option to report, so I did.

Is it an error during the flashing or like an FC after it boots?
If its an error during the flash it might be something similar to what i was getting with miui.us

MIUI.us 2.10.26
I wiped^3 and flashed. Got installation errors, flashed again, same errors. Rebooted recovery and got a bootloop with an image of andy with a red ! sign.
Three fingered back into recovery to stop the loop, and flashed again. This time the flash went off without any errors and booted up just fine and seemed to run smoothly :D

I'm currently on a jelly bean AOKP ROM I hear tell that there is a kind of special thing one needs to do when changing from aokp to a aosp ROM, but for the life of me I can't find anything on it in here. I've had this ROM before and liked it, but battery drain problems, checked it out, it's the crappy batteries japan/china make problem as even gingerbread having same issue, so am wanting to flash back to this jb miui again but I really really really do not want to have to flash back down to stock and work my way up again.

So, anyone have any guidance for a smooth transition from aokp to (aosp) or miui?

Tanks bunch

Hey, I meant to mention this last night, but I was exhausted from my wife's family

The error is with MIUIhome. In fact, at one point the launcher just disappeared and it was a blank screen. I wish I could post a log cat, but my phone goes haywire when I plug into my computer. The USB port on the phone needs to be replaced.

Hope someone can reproduce this and post a log.

Quick Question

Just would like to know before I flash away, does this include Scott' updated kernel or the one built into the ROM? For reference, I'm talking about this:

"Download and Flash this Kernel - 11/18/12 - This is just a stability kernel release to fix issues that some people were reporting from the 11/4 build. If you are on 11/4 and are having issues, then download and flash this kernel."

So yeah. Any info is appreciated! :p

EDIT:Well, it appears that the link upload is being wonky. Upon clicking the download button, I get a redirect to the sites homepage. Guess it doesn't matter now :p

Just to be clear. I should flash the ROM and immediately flash the fix or... should I flash the ROM, let try to boot, go back to CWM and flash the fix.

I'll give it a try and see if I run into any issues like you jfromh.

I tried both ways. When I tried rebooting BEFORE flashing the fix, it would stick on the splash screen. Rebooted into recovery, and flashed the fix and then rebooted. So, probably better to flash the fix right after the ROM. I seemed to have better luck flashing the fix a 2nd time after setting the phone up with my Google account.

The fix is only for MIUI. I uploaded a new test of PACman. B2
PACman b2 - After splash screen, there is no boot animation however it does boot and runs fine. There is one HWA settings f/c, no biggie.

Have heard the same thing but have not had any issues flashing between these and that includes AOCP.

This happens from time to time from one build to the next, usually closing the error message one time does the trick.

I am testing PACman - will go back to MIUI a little later and let you know for sure but I would say no as the kernel has not been reported as causing stability issues with this rom.

Flash the rom, flash the fix and then reboot is correct.

Has anyone else found that themes will open to a white page and not go any further or the File Explorer force closes right away after opening ?? Will send logs a little later.

Found this too. So far, PACman looks like a BEAST! Thanks Bill! Just wish we could get a little MIUI customization in there for PACMan, but I think that even sounds unrealistic. :p Oh well.

Gonna run MIUI now :p Will let you all know how it goes.

Happy Flashing!

I hit "OK" in every instance. Sometimes it would be fine after that, sometimes the screen wouldn't respond after hitting OK, and then sometimes it wouldn't respond when trying to hit OK. Very sporadic issue, but happened on every install.

MIUIAndroid Fix 1 2.11.16

Give it a whirl, fellas...let me know if we're good. I'm using AOKP as the base for my build, and it's a lot more up to date than the roms over here for me to use as bases, so that is causing some "fun" with the port

It may just be me, but I've been using the MIUI Android build, and I think it is noticeably faster. I will continue using it and report back additional info. Thanks for all the hard work you guys!

If you need to report a NEW bug, report it once, and the next TWO people VERIFY it. I don't need everyone reporting same bug 20 times. I you can, provide me the following information:
    1. Version you're using
    2. What type of fwipe you did and what ROM you came from
    3. Have you restored any data from something like Titanium Backup
    4. What app is misbehaving and what you were doing when it started
    5. Logcats<--THIS IS PREFERRED.

If you don't know how to logcat, go HERE and learn. This really nice guy took the time to write out a good how to :)

When you have a LOGCAT and would like to post it, please go to pastebin and post it in there, then LINK that location in this thread...I don't want to see them posted directly in here.

OP Updated. Files have been moved...AGAIN! I'm now operating on my own site. I got tired of Goo's lost downloads and SF telling me that my rate of starting new projects was too high (I have 20 and they were stopping me at 14..when I tried to open a second account, they got smart and stopped that one to...LOL). So, now I am operating on

    www.th3bill.com

scott and I have joined forces to form Team ToolBag and have a site for that as well

    www.teamtoolbag.us

    Cheers!
