Unable to run USSD codes, Airtel GSM carrier

I'm not able to run ussd codes and get responses. It shows MMI complete and I couldn't see a text. I'm on the latest 2.3.5 update and using GSM India..
Does installing the custom roms help running the ussd codes? Is there a way to unlock bootloader on Photon running 2.3.5?
Please help me on this.

It's not working for me. After I dial a ussd code it shows USSD code running.... for ever.

Reboot after installing. If not try again

Works great

I was running a custom rom from Eagles blood that suddenly stopp3d processing ussd codes. With this app, the phone app calls photon which completes the transaction.
