Both devices (Lumia 920 and HTC 8x) are in perfect working order when we talk about hardware!
Also today i received a new HTC 8x as a replacement (finaly after 3services and checks) but as it appears even the new one overheats!
The overheating issues is mainly caused when i play games and use apps after ~10-15 min the phone oveheats very much,a related massive battery consumption appears (like about ~30%/hour).
So after all this i can't imagine that 3devices (from two different manufacturers NOKIA/HTC) BRAND NEW have a hardware defect!
The thing is i want to know if this is cause because of bugs of the OS/Firmware coding or because of the games/apps itself?
In my opinion i thinks that it is caused by the OS or the Firmware because both need very much work and optimization judging the fact that are only 1year old!(in contrast with Android or iOS platforms)
I only want someone with the knoledge to tell what is the main cause of the issue!
so you want really to play such games without overheating?! how?! explain me how the CPU and the GPU can be cooled enough so they dont get hot on these kind of games. every CPU on this world gets hotter if its stressed and this is the case with mobile gaming. I dont get your point, this is no OS BUG, it is the reality, touch your monitor from behind, open Aida64 program an look how hot the CPU is, look how hot the HDDs can be, look at any thing that has an chip on it. mobile device have if they have only passive coolers, this is on lumia 920 a copper strip that difuses heat over the back of the device so the chip is not overheating, and overheating means that the device stops, and if you lumia 920 dont stop to work then it is not overheating, it is just heating. overheating means the device turns of like it is on some GPUs where they turn of at overheating at 100 celsius or something like that.
so its not a bug this is just the reality that the device works. if something work then it produces heat.
