Thank you for 4.4 KK for our tab. Everything is running great, running ART. The only problem Ive come across so far is the mic isnt working. Ive tested it in google now and also in hangouts video.
Also, Im using banks gapps 4.4 standard and you can use viral in place of youtube.

Awesome! My fingers are itching to flash, but I have one question. Does it have multi user support? My GF and I share the P7510, and we each have our own account. If it does ... let the flashing begin! I'll start making backups, just to be sure.
Mic is a known issue (mentioned in OP as well, together with the camera). I have spend a lot of time trying to fix it, but I have been unable to do so.
Yes, it support multi-user.
The problem is that in 4.4 the radio stuff has been redone. I also had problem with another device I develop for (SGS) to get the radio to work. And to develop a ROM for a device I don't own make it even more complicated. In the past weeks I sometimes flashed 10-15 testbuilds on a single day to try and fix something simple (like USB OTG). If someone else would test something for me, the progress would be way too slow.
But all my code is open source: someone with a p7500 can just grab all the code, adapt it to p7500 and compile it. And start the whole process of fixing bugs

. Is a back port from old Radio stuff to kitkat not possible? It may be easier. I can`t understand why People own tablets without cell Networks.
Anyway... I hope u keep up your omni 4.3 project. For such guys like me who need 3g.

I just noticed all recent gapps packages have the same flaw: the work with the updated updater-script, which does not work on our recovery.

All the different android projects are linked together. So you can't just mix & match old code with new code. And to be honest, maybe it is very simple, but even then it would require quite some time that I simply don't want to spend on it ATM. Fixing bugs for a device that I don't own is extremely tedious and frustrating. I've done it in the past and will never do it againThanks for clear it. Bad that i cant dev

At home I have wifi, at work I have wifi, and in Dutch public transport there is also free wifi. So I have no need for a tablet with cell network (and in the extreme case that would not work, I can still tether using my phone's cell connection, but that happens only a few times a year).
Is ril library the only broken or even more parts? One last question P4wifi and p4 Same builds except ril?. I dont want u to fix bugs for Devices u didnt even own . In germany most wifi are locked or u need pay for it.

@kasper_h YouTube is not totally broken. I found the work around. It working now.Youtube is a problem with some hardware blobs I believe. I had the same on AOKP. I have spend a lot of time, but could never solve it. I decided to ignore it
Once YouTube app starts, don't play any HD video.
Play HQ video first....if it don't play try again. It'll play then click on to play HD video.
Its work for me.
I have try that Viral app it's don't work, maybe that video I try is HD.
As for gapps, I uses Banks

I have no idea if anything will be broken, but it should only be RIL related. The rest of the p7500 is identical to p7510, so the other feature should work like p7510.

Hardware acceleration is not working for me.
Adaway also doesn't work without a workaround. It can't modify the hosts file for whatever reason. I followed method A in this thread to get it working.

Since youtube and video playback is running in software mode, it might be a good idea to de-overclock while watching videos. I personally use 800MHz without much problems. Software decoding produces more heat.

Give it 30 seconds after booting. Google apps apparently add a ton of startup items. It's pretty smooth.

Only when using a live wallpaper, and even then it's not really laggy, but not as smooth as a static wallpaper. 4.3 was smoother with live wallpapers, but I don't care ... rather have the latest android

117Earlier, I have been compiling several ROMs for the galaxy tab (P7510/p4wifi) based on KitKat 4.4. I now decided to move over to OMNI ROM as base: http://omnirom.org/
The nice thing of OMNI in my personal opinion is smoothness: it is relatively low in features, but at the same time it is not that resource hungry as some other ROMs. The end result is a smooth ROM.

It features the Infamous kernel (same kernel as for JB4.3, without SELinux). The zram code has been optimized (based on google advice for low-RAM devices) and is enabled by default.

-Boot it up
-> some people report issues (e.g. bootloop or crashing gapps) if they flash ROM, gapps & supersu in a row after fully wiping the tablet. In that case, wipe again, flash ROM, boot the tab, reboot to recovery, and then flash the rest.
-> if coming from stock ROM, a factory reset may wipe you entire /data partition, so you loose you sdcard contents as well (I think this only happens with CWM, but I'm not sure)
-> in CWM "wipe system partition" can be found under mounts, and is called "format /system"
->If you get the message 'This package is for "p4" devices this is a "GT-P7500"' (or something likewise) update to a recent CWM or TWRP
Update installation (OMNI -> OMNI):
-Boot into recovery
-Install ROM
-Install SuperSU (in the SuperUser app you can create a script that will automatically backup/restore SuperSU on ROM updates so you don't have to reflash SuperSU).
-Boot it up
