Re: [ROM][SPH-L900][JB][4.2.1] CyanogenMod 10.1 official nightlies

Hmmm.... I have a E4200 with ddwrt firmware.... Still can't connect.

Only thing I can try at this point is to try clean install. Although I think I've done this before.... Note sure....

Thanks but not long enough. Run the logcat from boot again but let it run a bit after you mess with camera stuff.

The log never seems to get bigger.. any flags I need to use?

This is an issue that people have, me included. I don't think enough people are having it though. The only way I can run any 4.2 rom, is to set it on 5ghz in the settings & I only get like 2 bars. Every now & then if I toggle CDMA/evdo/lte on & off & then reboot I'll get full signals. If I set it to auto or 2.5, it immediately drops it. It can see it but won't connect. When I'm in the mood for aosp I run the 4.1 roms cause I get full signal each & every single time. Sucks, I was hoping for a change with ma5, no such luck. Maybe it affects certain people who did the lk8 thing a ways back. I don't know,

Just tried a wipe and a clean install. Still can't connect to my 5ghz network.

Yeah I went from ljc to lk8 and now I'm on ma5. Never downgraded.

Everything else with this rom is great. Just the 5ghz wifi.

Anyone know if its safe to delete the emulated folder from my SD card? My phone says I only have 1.5 gigs internal when I should have 6 or 7 gigs I'm thinking my SD card was copied when I flashed cm10.1

So is there a fix out for the camera? And how about the keyboard? When I hit keys and then letters pop up the keys have weird blocks behind them and my camera crashes with a force close of gallery.

Edit: Nvmd. Camera works. Only problem is weird keyboard issues.

Can you take a screenshot of the keyboard issue?

its hard to grab the screen shot of this.. its only some letters(and sometimes different ones in different portrait modes).

I just disable the pop-ups under inputs/google keyboard settings

Are you on the latest nightlie?

Stock camera is ok for me. Sometimes it doesn't work sometimes it does. Camera zoom fx works well. So far I haven't had an issue... But then again I don't take that many pictures or video.

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.2 (JB), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
    Code:

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Thank you sbrissen for developing for this awesome device and all of our donators who made it possible! None of this would have happened without you guys :)

You will lose S Pen and other Touchwiz functionality if you flash this but here is how you can get some of that functionality back!
    1. S Pen works (try out the app Papyrus as a replacement to S Note, Papyrus does utilize the S Pen button as well).
    2. Air View works (Go to settings, Language & input, check "Show icon when using stylus".
    3. The S Pen button works (Go to settings, Language & input, Stylus gestures, those all use the s pen button).
    4. Pop up browser = OverSkreen from the Google Play Store.
    5. I use the 4.2 Camera on Touchwiz anyway. There are plenty of good camera apps in the market if you want more features.
    6. Multiwindow. There is no alternative, dont ask.
And here's some alternatives to Touchwiz apps (PM me if you want me to add something!)
    Code:

[URL="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.clov4r.android.nil&hl=en"]MoboPlayer[/URL]- It's another very capable, free video player with floating player functionality. Plus its free!

DO NOT USE 20121011 GAPPS OR YOU WILL HAVE ISSUES, USE 20121212 GAPPS.

If you want to downgrade back to a 4.1.x ROM, flash the restore-sdcard-after-downgrade.zip attached below AFTER flashing back to 4.1.x ROM. Your storage situation will be how it was pre-CM10.1 flash. Thanks to madmack for the file.

Screenshot thing is a known issue.

Also, guys I'm glad your all crazy about the CM10.2 thing but this is still the 10.1 thread. So can we please keep it on topic?

I'll start a cm10.2 thread shortly with builds. the screenshot issue is because of the "legacy" mali gpu blobs. until we get blobs that work properly with 4.3 there will be graphic issues
