Make sure your recovery is up to date and reflash the ROM. Boot into it before you flash gapps to isolate the issue but it seems like my latest build needs pulled. Use the version that the other folks say is working would ya?
For candykat? I support beanstalk for the i9300 in a way. Don't own the device but I thought about adding this ROM for yours some day.

CandyKat v1.5.8 now live in the OP! Enjoy....
Installed on my S3 i747/d2att and getting the following error(s) at every boot:
"Unfortunately, CandyCenter has stopped"
If I open CandyCenter/CANDYOTA it has the following info:

Name: null
Codename: null
Current Version
Version: null
File: CandyKat-d2lte-4.4.4.release.v1.5.8-Official-20140827
Update: Cannot read CANDYOTA properties

enable root perms for app and adb in ... dev options ... you will be fine after that

Hey bud I was wrong it does work on our triband model.You'll need to use rotation apk and APN fix.

This is CandyKat. Built straight from SlimRoms source with commits from a variety of different sources/ROMS. We wanted to give the users a fun, fully customizable ROM. We have also come up with the Candy Sweetener Pack. This is an Aroma installer that is full of delicious treats. Inspired by the CandyShop thread on XDA it has everything from glow dots to halo mods.

Steps:
- Download CandyKat.zip
- Download Gapps (optional)
- Place CandyKat.zip on phones memory or SD card
- Boot into recovery (either twrp or cwm)
- Full wipe (Dalvik Cache, Cache, System, Factory Data Reset)
- Flash CandyKat.zip (and Gapps if desired)
- Reboot and Enjoi

Seems like just another 4.4 ROM with a crazy name. Everything seems to be working though. I missing the center clock and dark SMS.. I'll play with it for awhile but I might just go back to BS.. I'll keep my eyes on this though

It seems similar Cuz BS is CM based as well as Candy Kat...we def plan to add more features and theme options...as of now I'm sure other ROMs have more features but ... We will be adding features as project progresses. Thanks for checking it out. And stay tuned...!
