I copied the name of v4a HiFi apk and created a folder by that name (minus .apk, of course) in /system/priv-app/ and set permissions accordingly by checking the other folder and apk permissions in that /priv-app/ folder. Then a reboot is necessary, then open app from app drawer and install driver and reboot again. I did the same for v4a fx.

Ok I'll try to help you out. The thing is I don't really remember which one that one is. So here's a folder with one that I think it might be plus one that I use now. Also I provided my favorite .irs. Put the 2 folders in your profile folder in the Viper directory. Then try them both out. I hope you like one of them. Keep in mind I use only the Headphone effect mode so that's the only one there.

The thing about suggesting profiles to other people is my profiles were set up to make my earphones sound the best to me. Most people out there don't use the same earphones I do so they're not going to get the same result I do from my profiles. I have to crank the bass quite a lot to get my earphones to sound like I want them to. I've checked out some other earphones that were quite a bit bassier than mine. My profiles could be real bassy coming through a naturally bassy sounding set of earphones. That's why I have quit posting profiles. I have no clue how to set up sound for other people's gear.

Hi @churapa and thanks for the info. One question about how to use vdc file, I copied it into /sdcard/ViPER4Android/DDC but once I search it into "Listening Device" menu I can't find it. Thanks

I'm having trouble with ViPER4Android 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 in that whenever I use convolver, it makes all kinds of pops and buzzing sounds with certain kernels. The second I turn off convolver it goes away.

Does anybody know of a fix, other than turning off convolver or raising the voltages of the kernel (that didn't help)? Or any good profiles that don't use convolver? I'm using this on my Galaxy S3 w/ AOSB 4.4.4 ROM through Bose SoundTrue over-ear heaphones (wired) and Hyundai Genesis Lexicon speakers (Bluetooth).

If you're using super quality driver I'd recommend uninstalling driver, reboot, install high quality driver, and reboot.

Is your problem the really loud cracking etc when screen is off and CPU is too restricted Kernel-wise to cope, or do you mean the soft static noise while music is nearly silent? Had the latter one too, it's got to do with convolver per se among others. If that's the case, search for the extremebeats Mod here on xda and try the profile extremebeats perfection. It's without convolver but sounds really powerful nevertheless.

Thanks for the help man! Should I install Extremebeats too, or just the profile?

EDIT: To answer your question it's like high pitched screeches and digital pops, almost like a bad 90s electro song. Not really static.

Rx Pain Killers

Here I present my new creation, a set of 3 profiles I call "Pain Killers"

There are 3 settings: Morphine, Oxycontin and Percocet. ;)
Remember, "Dont mix your pills or else" :p

To use them, just leave everything default and apply VDC and IRS accordingly.
Tested them myself in 3 different set of earphones: Piston v2, SONY MDR-EX90 LP and Westone 3 and I loved the sound coming from them (specially the second profile).

Thanks for trying them and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did making them. :good:

    Step by Step:
    1. Find the Profile you would like to use.
    2. Download V4A FX and/or XHiFi
    3. Open either app and switch to the device the profile uses.
    4. Enter all that you see on the profile.
    5. Enjoy the amazing sound!

    Rx Pain Killers

    Here I present my new creation, a set of 3 profiles I call "Pain Killers"

    There are 3 settings: Morphine, Oxycontin and Percocet. ;)
    Remember, "Dont mix your pills or else" :p

    To use them, just leave everything default and apply VDC and IRS accordingly.
    Tested them myself in 3 different set of earphones: Piston v2, SONY MDR-EX90 LP and Westone 3 and I loved the sound coming from them (specially the second profile).
