Even if you login to HTCDev and click the download link there, your are redirected to HTC homepage. Other files download fine.

Worked fine for me at HTCDev just fine, both logged in and not. See attached.

Hold on in your post at the top you said that stock recovery was the same regardless of carrier. Was that wrong? Of so I've flashed the wrong recovery.img for sure.

Your CID must match the Nandroid backup, not the recovery. I believe the recovery is standard across all variants.

So then in theory if we have a stock nandroid for our phone, we could flash the stock recovery image file that's available from the developer version and be good to go?

Thanks! Any hints of a Tmobile RUU coming down the pipe?

Hello, could you answer this question, please:

Background Info:

  • I have a UK purchased simfree HTC One M7. I have unlocked and rooted.
  • I installed a kernel that I am not happy with.
  • I checked my CID and it is HTC001

Question:
If I install M7 CWM Nandroid Backup / CID HTC__001 / 1.28.401.7 will I get any further UK updates pushed OTA directly from HTC?

Thanks. Excellent thread.

Yes. In theory. I've only seen one recovery available, not one for each CID.

Yes. But you'll need stock recovery to install them

it doesn't work because of the different cid. no brick but installation will aborted after checking cid. cid can only change when s-off. currently no s-off available for M7

Actually there is a way to change cid without s-off, we had to do it to do s-off for our HTC one S. Hopefully a method can be used on the HTC one soon.

Can't be done. I have myself tried to alter CID by sending edited dev/block files but the one has a write protect that differs from the others in the one series.

Still I think there's sure to be a solution soon enough

Does anyone have a sotck nandroid backup for AT&T? My file was lost this AM when an external HDD died and I am going to need to restore to stock later this week so I can return the phone to AT&T. Thanks.
