boot.p file is a file on stock roms that overwrites your newly flashed custom recovery..if you still have cwm you dont need to worry bout it!
The reboot shouldnt take that long - maybe 10mins at most.
You will need to go in and wipe EVERYTHING twice! Yes twice!!
this means System, flexrom, Data and cache. After erasing/formatting System you will not have an OS so be sure to flash a rom before rebooting.
Either fastboot erase or cwm format - (choice is yours but I find fastboot just as easy but its unforgiving..you do not want to muck up in here!!!)
You may want to update to the latest cwm - heres a recovery.img http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...1&d=1378452510
Put it in the folder where you have fastboot. Then boot to fastboot andenter
fastboot recovery cwm_1.7.3_recovery.img
EDIT: did u run the 2nd bat file from babsector??
I flashed the new img you provided, but I can't tell a difference. Also, the command you provided didn't work. Did you mean, "fastboot flash recovery cwm_1.7.3_recovery.img" ? This is what I did and it said it was successful
I also did not run the second batch file. Just the first.
Just for ****s and grins I ran the second batch file. I cleared everything with fastboot, ran the first batch file and then the second one. Went into recovery mode and erased everything twice. I re-installed the ROM and it seems to be working. It took about 2 minutes to boot up. The second batch file seemed to be the key. Thanks for the assistance!
