[Q] How do I update my ROM?

Hi guys,

Im on the Cool Sense ROM for the Desire and It was my first custom ROM. My question is how do I update the rom and when I do, do i lose any data and how specifically does it work?

An update of the Same ROM can usually be flashed over the top of the previous one without loss of data. Changing ROM requires a full wipe.

If in doubt ask the ROM dev.

as above, you shouldn't lose any data if it's the same rom.

get in the good habit of making a nandroid backup before you flash anything though, can be a lifesaver just in case they go wrong, or you don't like the upgrade
