  • Utilizes the GCC 4.8.3 SM Toolchain for the ROM
  • Utilizes the GCC 4.9 SM Toolchain for the Kernel
  • Forced the ROM into hard float mode for faster math performance
  • -O3 optimizations for the ROM and Kernel
  • Upstream with all Android optimizations at Googlesource
  • Forced compiler to build for A15 chipset in lieu of A9
  • Random GCC optimizations throughout ROM
  • Heavily optimized Dalvik
  • Synced and optimized Bionic with OpenMaster
  • EXFAT support
  • Scalable DPI built in
  • The Real Dark Slim
  • Shake to Secure

  • Align build with GCC Graphite/remove unnecessary and harmful optimizations
  • Linux 3.4.88
  • Workqueue updates
  • Simplify hotplug code
  • Optimize cpufreq tables for quicker access
  • Low-Memory Killer tweaked in same was as our OoM
  • Native Hashtable for Workqueue so it doesn't have to be placed everywhere
  • Audio stutter fixes
  • Fix a mismatch

QuantumKernel Features
  • GCC 4.9
  • User Voltage
  • Dynamic FSync for improved battery life
  • Simple GPU Governor
  • FRandom
  • Governors: Asswax, Intellidemand, Intelliactive, SmartMax, Ondemand, InteractiveX
  • I/O: SIO, TripnDroid, FIFO, ZEN, SIOPLUS, 0 ms deadline, BFQ, FIOPS,
  • Auto Hotplug
  • Extreme battery optimizations from Power Efficient Workqueues to ARM Topology, and numerous others
  • Universal screen off frequency for any governor
  • Dynamic Dirty Page Writeback for better speed and battery life while screen is on
  • Increased Sound Quality through overclocking of hardware

Flashing Instructions
Download ROM and GApps
Reboot into Recovery
Wipe /system, /cache, /dalvik, and data (ONLY SYSTEM, CACHE, DALVIK CACHE IF DIRTY)
Install ROM, install GApps, install latest kernel
Wipe Cache/Dalvik Cache
Reboot system!

Knew about this great kernel but didn't know you had a Quantum ROM as well (and based on the best, SlimKat!). Thanks for putting this in the Sprint thread as well.

Bah for some reason, I can never flash this and go back to another kernel like LeanKernel. I just flashed this and noticed it doesn't have interactiveX built in (at least not according to Trickster Mod), so I reflashed Lean Kernel and while it doesn't boot loop, I get tons of system process FCs at startup yielding the phone pretty much useless until I flash Quantum again. Any reason that is? I've usually gone between different kernels like stock, Lean, and BMS without any issues.

Anyway, going to test drive Quantum for a bit with the smartmax / row combo.

Flashed this late yesterday evening (after trying AICP) so far so good. Can someone explain to me like a 5 yr old how this differs from Slim ?

That explains things at a 5 yr level - THX  ... OP you might wanna put a possible seizure disclaimer regarding the boot animation  :D :D

InteractiveX only has a screen off profile, I enabled it for all governors, :)

Is this sprint d2lte any different than the one released on at&t forum? I'm on boost using at&t release and signal isn't great. Would you recommend I try flashing this one? I will eventually when I get a chance. I'm on L710

Following the download link takes you to the "flo" build. Also following the d2lte" folder and "quantum.4" reveals nothing in folder

Just installed and enabled root for apps and adb, but root is broke. I can't get titanium to work as it can't get root permissions. Joey Kim's root checker says its not, and if I keep checking it then says it is, but can't get root in titanium. This was a very clean install. Any ideas?

Is there a way to kill recent apps in one fell swoop?

It's all d2lte but there's also some fixes in there to make sprint LTE work. Enjoy it!

Since this is based on SlimKat I'm going to assume it uses Slim's recent apps. Finger and thumb at top and bottom, pinch together

Check the att threads, they get updated more often. I've been busier lately so you can even just go and check the dev host folder!
