[Q] Startup Manager - Programs still run
I have installed 'Startup Manager (Free) v4.7' and disabled a heap of User and System apps that I just don't use, or think need to be running at startup. I believe this will help the device run better by way of using less RAM and processor to keep it running in the background, in the same way that this works on a Windows based system.
However, it seems some apps run regardless. As an example, I have disabled 'GMail' and 'Email' because I use another app for my email. When a new email is received in my Gmail account, I get a Gmail notification (as well as from my main email app). Drives me nuts!
For good measure, I have also tried running 'Startup Cleaner 2.0', which I also have same disabled/applied.
What am I missing here?
