I successfully flashed this ROM... I have two issues

To get root you have go to LBE guard and then allow root. As for onscreen buttons, don't know.

Go to root LBE- Permissions click to Manage Root permissions select app and click allow
app list is not loading there
monitoring 0 apps for ROOT permission... inside that just root toggle there

Maybe he has a problem with root. Try downloading superSU from Google PlayLook on this guide

I had ICS based ROM.. ultimate HD... then flashed miui and lost root...
I tried to root again by using doomlord s one click root...superuser got installed but still no root access...
in lbe control root permission is on but shows managing 0 apps

In miui guide root problem is not mentioned and the mod in second link says no need to put it in miui ROMs... do you recommend to flash tat mod

There's no solution for that. That's the offer you make for wanting better designed apps and framework. You might be able to win some more by disabling unused system apps.

Install notes :

8.) install rom.zip from sdcard.
9.) reboot device
10.) First boot need some time (all apps, functions, daemons, services must initialize and that takes some minutes !!) use adb logcat if you want to know whats happening in the background at the bootsequence

How to install :
STEP 1: Download Kernel and rom to your PC, put rom to your sdcard
STEP 2: Use flashtool to flash baseband .56
STEP 3: Use fastboot to flash boot.img (fastboot flash boot boot.img)
STEP 4: Boot into CWM recovery then:
->Chose wipe data/factory reset and confirm.
->Chose wipe cache partiton and confirm .
->Chose advanced and chose wipe Dalvik Cache then confirm
->Chose install zip from sdcard to flash the .zip rom you have put into your SD card.
STEP 5: Start your phone and enjoy it.

i got miui v4 android 4.0.4 working with new kernel ..
- sound recorder is working now
- camera flash is working now
- torch is working now
- Android version update to 4.0.4
- MIUI v4 4.0.4 2.3.30 desireS
i must make new wifi modules, the old one doesn`t work ...
when i get that, i will make new boot.img and upload all8NEWS:
i think everybody know that MIUIv5 is coming ..,
i will also try to port MIUIv5 with CM10.1 but we must wait till MIUIv5 is available for Nexus S ! I cant port from MI-Phone (because of hardware dif.)
We all know about our memory problems with miui jellybean, so i started alternative projects :
* Miui Porting with Micode Patchrom : I got now a few roms working with patchrom methode
i used latest cm9 (ICS) as baserom ! memory on miui - ics is acceptable (much better than on jellybean) but still some things are not working , when i have stable rom , i will upload it ...
I am also working on
* FirefoxOS
* UbuntuTouch
For those people who are using my latest rom (Miui-3.1.18):
Go to "Settings"- "Developement options" and make following changes :
* Show rounded Corners = off
* Window Animation Scale = .5x
* Transition animation scale = off
* Animatior duration scale = off
* Force GPU rendering = ON
* Background process limit = 3 (at most 3 processes)
I use this settings ! Phone is little bit faster and little bit more memory ...
updates will come in the next 2 weeks

since we have themed AOSP Keyboard, i thinked about themed Legacycamera
here are my first results :
I was inspired by this man : coliv_aja from this thread : http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2037417 , i didn`t take files from this man !!!
i copied only his idea !
How i made that:
- I did downloaded the update.zip (miui rom from mi--phone) , extracted the camera.apk ..
- checked and compared the *.png files with this from LegacyCamera.apk ...
- Replaced some files (buttons, backgrounds,..)
- I Opened some Pics from from LegacyCamera.apk in Gimp and replaced colours (cyan to orange)
- thats all ..
Some things are still in cyan ...
Camera apk will be includet in new release ...
