Wouldn't there still be a chance of getting dust with that caught underneath?
That is totally a consequence of your own installation technique, and is absolutely no fault of the screen protector...even the dirt cheapest screen protector can be installed dust free if you install it correctly. Look up "hinge method" on Youtube, and watch the first video involving an iPhone...THAT is the proper way to install a dry screen protector hassle free. I do the following myself:
1. Get together the tools...two clean microfiber cloths, LCD cleaner spray, LED flashlight, scotch tape, canned air.
2. Spray the screen with LCD cleaner and wipe it down with one cloth. Follow up with the 2nd dry cloth to polish away streaks.
3. Wipe down the outside removable films of the screen protector to remove surface dust, and get it aligned and then set the hinge in place with tape.
4. Use the LED flashlight to scan the screen up close for any last minute specks of dust that may have landed on the screen. Use a combination of canned air and a piece of tape to remove any last traces of dust.
5. Remove the inner film of the screen protector, and let it flop down into place. Squeegee out the bubbles.
6. Carefully remove the hinge tapes, and remove the outer film, and squeegee down any edges that got lifted from removing the tape.
These are extremely anal, OCD steps, and I'd say on average it takes me 15 minutes or more to do all this, but I have yet to ever get dust under the protector ever since I started religiously doing all these steps.
