Build 6.8 is up

http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23578570567719571

All is working well for me but again, if you don't mind reporting ...(Thanks gchild!).

I dirty flashed this 6.8 over 6.4 yesterday. Just this package and the PA_Gapps (minimal). TWRP 2.7.2.0. It is just better and better.

...edited to add: Still on baseband VRAMC3 phone. Have not see consensus on value of upgrading that. Anybody else see benefit from that?

Thank you guys for your efforts to help keep our 'ancient' Note II (mine's 14 months old) feel young and sporty again!

GPS - working great. No change made to GPS.conf or anything else. Guess I am lucky to never have had the no-lock issue.

Correction: GPS *not* working great..

A few days ago I posted that after flashing from 6.4 to 6.8 everything including GPS was working fine. I was fooled by Google's high-accuracy mode using my wifi and cell towers apparently.... once I actually tried to use GPS (only) it became clear I'm stuck like flyboy, no sats at all.

My apologies to anyone who gained confidence from my post and found themselves in the same boat.

Have tried all the other gps.conf setting, tightening screws, etc etc. Hours. Going back to (rooted insecure) TW 4.1.3 VRAMC3 to see if I can get a lock.

DISCLAIMER : If you flash a custom kernel please don't post in this thread that things are broken. Things are not broken.

Hey all, here's SlimRom built from source for our i605. Umm, it flies! Obviously in not responsible for anything that happens to you, your, device, or anything else that may go wrong in your life.

I am also not responsible for the work done on this ROM, and so I do not want to take credit. I'm not a part of Slim Team, and am providing this because all I had to do was build a slim device tree (and keep it up to date) for i605...and because I like the ROM!

Download Link: (if it doesn't show up for you, disable ad-blocker, or try a different browser)

FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK, or wait and make sure someone else has reported working

Hey Guys I have worked with gchild and am hoping to take over the builds for him.

I have a build that I built and am running and everything seems to be working.

Please flash and report back how it all goes. **BACK UP FIRST** since I have been the only tester so far.

If all goes well after a week or 2 I will start my own thread and hopefully free up gchild. Download link:

    http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23578570567716244 - Build 6.6

Also - I tested both flashing over a previous build and a clean flash. Both worked great so it should be like nothing even changed.

Slim has pushed to RC1. Without any catastrophic events I'll be posting it tomorrow.
