Don't do it. The tablet is not worth it. The price is much higher than the true value of the tablet. I have it & have had many tabs & while the S-Pen is nice, the battery life on this tablet (we have two Note 8.0's in the house) is worse than any other tablet I have had in the last couple years. If you need an S-Pen, I would suggest waiting for the Note 10.1 2014. I either have or have recently had the Note 10.1, Nexus 10, Nexus 7, Nexus 7 FHD, Tab 3 10.1, Tab 3 7.0, Note 8.0 & the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 LTE. All off then, except the Note 8.0 & the Tab 3 7.0, will give me many hours of video or game play. The new smaller Samsung tablet give me half the up time of the rest. You can go from 80% to 5% in less than two hours with a game like Asphalt 8. The new Nexus 7 gives me like 5 hours of continuous play of Asphalt 8 & still has a good chunk of battery left, where the N8.0 has reset on low battery after 100 minutes.
Do whatever you want, maybe you don't ever watch NetFlix or play games & just want to draw or take notes. It is fine for that, but not for heavy use or extended periods away from a charge, like international flights.
to buy me a cheeseburger if I helped you! Or even better, find a charity or local family fighting childhood cancer & help out however you can!
