[Q] Loop in the boot
My tablet is unlocked and I am a CROMI Roms user. I have flashed my tablet many other times as the CROMI version will go up without any problems.
I allways select the stock kernel. However, in the last version I installed (CROMI 5.0 Beta1), I selected the Hundsbuah OC kernel (3.2). During some days, I performed some tests changing the governor, frequencies and volts. At the final, I did not like this kernel as the tablet was very hot all time (even at low frecuencies), so I decided to remove this version, flashing the next version available: CROMI 5.0 Beta3
This time, I selected the stock kernel in the Aroma installer. After the installing, I rebooted the tablet. However the system stops in the boot animation and start again from the beginning (loop). After several reboots, the tablet was showing the initial screen with the logo of ASUS (the one where you can read that the device is unlocked) and re-boot again. I do not see any more the animation screen.
I am able to enter in the recovery (TWRP 2.5.5) so I have tried to restore the backup (in fact several backups with different versions that I was stored in the micro-sd) and all of them fails while the restauration of the data partition. I mean, the restore set the 3 partitions (system, data and boot) to the original status. The system partition was restoring ok, but when arrived to the data partition I received an error message and restore process failed. All times happend the same with all backup files that i tried to restore.
I also tried to flash other new ROMS and versions without successfull. It is allways showing the same boot loop after flashing.
Could someone help me or give me any idea of what can i do before I get the tablet to the technicall service?
Thank you so much in advance.
