what really interests me is the a/v cable adapter...would this be compatible with the GT2?

No it's not. I got one that used to be working on P1000 but not on P3100.

Anyone got any ideas of plugging this baby to standard vga projector?

Would love to simply bring all of my lecturing presentations in my oversized phone

the a/v out would have been my suggestion then doing an av to vga

Samsung sells a hdmi out cable that works, if you could find an hdmi to vga adapter that could work....
