Try making sure it gets mounted as rw for the /system ...
as i mentioned above,,, it will make a difference! I was feeling the same way too.
Going into performance control may be resetting that permission i just went to check it and noticed the ROM being weird again. Sure enough it was mounted ro...

Also try using devil tools to get the performance controls settings to stick. That works for me.

I working on these issues. This build was kinda a soak test more or less. But It seemed ok enough to let ya guys have a peak. I should've said something in OP..stay tuned guys...this is just getting started!

Tried the 12-13 gapps but failed to install.

Thanks again for all your efforts. I am seeing a lot of promise here. Guess I was a little quick to jump the gun in installing but I will try to stick with it.

Did you try with a dalvik and cache wipe? It may take wiping data also... Clean install?

thanks for the reupload. Zip file was good but now had issues writing to system directory.

I am going to put this on hold until things get a little more stable. I really liked what I saw though. for me, the only issue after installing the latest Gapps from 12-30 was that I couldn;t sign into Google playstore. other than that, everything was pretty fast.

keep up the good work!

I think that problem may be more related to the included superuser.

More so than what i previously said about mounting the system as rw...:eek:

Mazda made mention of it @ G+.
So i installed superSU v 1.86 from chainfire and it's working much moar better for me :D

I liked but going to something else reason for to many random reboots music & glitches always getting some black stuff on the screen those get fixed I'll be back (Will bring my S2 back from the dead)

    Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP but now OMNI-ROM, brings you a great mix of stability and customization.     - Have the latest TWRP Recovery (2.6.3.0) - only recovery been tested on
    - Factory reset then Advance wipe: CACHE, DALVIK and SYSTEM
    - Flash it and reboot
    - Once the ROM boots, reboot back into recovery
    - Flash the recommend GAPPS and ENJOY!!

    Thats why. Try Flashing my DU 4.3.1 build. Then flash this one.
