Hello everybody...
I bought this tab because of a special offer of a gadget seller... and I love it. Of corse I had to flash cm9 first
so I'm new in this forum section.
I have a question about the youtube app. Has anyone else this strange screen flickering in the left corner (only in landscape)? Is this a problem of the tegra2?
Another thing is... how often will we get upstream changes? Shure... we don't need every night a"nightly" but as a flashoholic I like to flash... I can't live without flashohol
And the third thing is... is this rom (more or less) a copy of the Galaxy tab 10.1 rom? I'm just interessted because there are the same issues like in this rom...

Yes, the p5 (8.9) rom is a fork of the p4 (10.1) rom.
Yes, the flickering problem is there, probably due to non-optimized drivers (they were taken iirc from the Ventana dev tablet)
As for the nightly builds, we just have to wait until they're added to the buildbot.

I just wanted top throw out there that i am on a clean installand only issue i have other than known camera is random reboots. Had only happen 3 times in past few weeks since installing and only when plugged in charging overnight. Except it boots into loading screen with Android man cut in half..

Crahses/Reboots wit March 30th Version
I am referring to one of my earlier entries regarding reboots and app-crashes of the March 30th version.
I did an installe of the AOKP version. Afterwards I did.
format cachee
reset and wipa al user data
wipe dalvik
and wipe batt stats
after that I did a (presumably) very ckean install of CM9 / April 30th and all problems want away. The only problem left, which I cannot trace is the data on GPRS. After some time (> 2 days) the internet connection over gprs is not restartable (internet conn. off/on), I have to reboot for this to work. The internet connection over WIFI works though.

Exactly the same happened to me yesterday, it rebooted and the android load logo was cut in half but still moving ....
Only way to get out was power button for long time to reset it ...
Sorry to ask a simple and silly question. I am getting the status 7 error. I know someone on page 4 or 5 had the same issue, but i've tried 2 different latest recoveries.
Tried removing the assert line from updater-script (but don't know how to sign the zip file).
Haven't had those errors with 2 other ROMs for the 8.9...
Any hints?

74This is the official CM9 port for the P7300 and the P7310.
EXPERIMENTAL BUILDS 2012-09-03
These builds uses the Linux 3.1.10 kernel and the libs from the official P7310 ICS firmware (the P7300 has borrowed the RIL lib from the official P7500 firmware).
Known issues is some graphics glitches in landscape modes that sometimes appear and that running Google Maps makes Android restart after ~1 minutes use (There's something with the compass sensor driver that goes berserk). And yes, both cameras works.
Important: First install Clockwork 6.0.1.2 in the second post if this thread. If you use the old Clockwork you will get a black screen on the first boot and you will need to do a long press on power to get it running again.
EDIT 2012-09-05 - Do not use Clockwork 6.0.1.2, possible risk of bricking (not sure yet if permanent or if it can be fixed). Using old recovery works with the new builds but you will need to do a long press to get the display working after each time you have booted into recovery.

Also modified pershoots P75xx kernel to work with P73xx so it is no longer using Motleys kernel (although several files was kanged from Motleys kernel to make pershoots kernel work on our devices). Now uses bootanimation.zip from Xoom ICS release (looks pretty much the same as before). CIFS, TUN and NTFS is not included in this release but will be added in the next one.
- 2012-01-11 - Resynced source, tweaked autobrightness, added Torch from CM7 (untested since my camera LED is broken)

Known issues
- Camera is not working.
- Compass is 90 degrees wrong.
- Rotation animation "blanks out" before it starts.
- Voice calls (P7300 version) isn't working although some report recieving calls work while outgoing calls is a not.
- HDMI output is rotated 90 degrees.

EDIT 2012-09-05 - Links removed for now. Got stuck on formatting /cache and since then I'm APX bricked. Hopefully my tablet will recover after battery drain. At least one other user have ended up with the same problem. Not sure if it is something with the new kernel or just a coincidence but I recommend to reflash 6.0.0.8 for now.

Both were building yesterday but failed due to the proprietary files being incorrectly merged into koush samsung repo. I managed to get that fixed quickly thanks to codeworkx quickly merging my pull request.
Today both builds where building but somehow the p5 build just vanished. No idea what happend but afterwards a 7.2.0.1 (correction to 7.2.0 stable) were built for the bravo (HTC Desire) so perhaps someone canceled all the works in the queue to get it out quickly.
I'm sure we will have the first p5 (P7300) build tomorrow.
Btw... just after our first official build the Galaxy S3 also got it's first official build. I'm really impressed what Teamhacksung have managed to do in just a few weeks.11New experimental builds in first post with working cameras. Avoid Google Maps as it will make it reboot.

First of all, kallt_kaffe is the the only active developer of CyanogenMod for p5 (see https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_samsung_p5wifi/commits/ics). Although he is just pulling the changes from p4 (Tab 10.1), he is still responsible for all development progress for p5.
Pershoot is currently building a 3.1 kernel for p4 and uses the new ICS blobs. With this kernel and the new camera drivers, the camera is working. Kallt_kaffe adapted that kernel and integrated it in his test builds. Unfortunately, they forgot to disable mmc_cap_erase (a damn bug that occur on all ICS kernels of many Samsung devices). This yields to the bricked tablets. It's a hard brick (damaged memory) and can only be repaired by replacing the main unit by Samsung.
I'm currently trying to reproduce kallt_kaffe's experimental changes. I have a working and safe kernel, but the system doesn't load the new wifi driver. When I get it working, I'll upload the patch. But I suppose, kallt_kaffe will be faster
