CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

This is a port of CM9 beta 2 of galaxy y by bieltv.3
So, here it comes. Cyanogenmod 9 now is much closer to a stable release, thanks to bieltv.3 and broadcom, but till now, its not. I and ImBJ worked hard to get this working, so don't say this-that not working. The new drivers by broadcom have been implemented in the rom by bieltv.3 and thus the rom is super smooth.

Great build I tested this cm9, but not root acces. Need update binary "su" but fails.

Already there....
Fixes of BETA 4 already there.....except the USB Storage one.....Working on it....

Google play has a bug, but this is solution for this problem:
1. download this http://d-h.st/h5A
2. Paste it to /data/local using Root explorer or ES File Explorer!
3. Reboot to fix permission!
4. Check out Play Store!

Quick question. Do you re upload your parts 1-12 everytime you release a new beta or do you give us a download that updates them? Or should i wait till everything works?

So, here it comes. Cyanogenmod 9 now is much closer to a stable release, thanks to bieltv.3 and broadcom, but till now its NOT. This ROM still doesn't have basic telephony support but its very very smooth and you will love it...

See the bugs above and as it has no audio it can't be used as daily rom but ics on sgp is a milestone and it will be fixed sometime4
me and akhbh working on it.. we r porting biel's cm9.. and so faar here s the result.. i did not test it yet.. just gave some fixes.. i'll test it in 1-2 days and hope i can fix more things..3You're wrong
No, the drivers are implemented in this rom. Thanks to bieltv.3. See, HW acceleration and Games working. Also, rom is super smooth. Also, mackief is working with the drivers to release a more stable CM7
