Haven't received my TF300T yet, still shipping. I've been reading this forum and I just have to wonder, why can't one of you that has the insecure boot image, just post it for download? This will be my first table, so they might be inherently different somehow than phones, but I can't imagine why.

Doesn't work like that in Asus land I'm afraid. Read the stickies about unlocking and the tools you need and we'll be here to help you.

BTW do you mean you just want a boot loader blob to flash?

No no, I just figured that it would be a similar process as with Samsung phones. Get the phone, root, flash recovery, flash insecure boot image, profit. I see that is far from the case with these.

Samsung is Samsung, HTC is HTC and Asus is Asus. All 3 have radically different methods as do other makers I'm sure. Forget everything you have learnt about unlocking, rooting and flashing from Samsung. Read loads and learn what causes bricks and what is safe, It is still possible to hard brick your transformer with no way out so read the horror stories as well as we still get a few a week it seems.

Never ever wipe from the bootloader and you should be OK.
