I just did full wipe, reflashed cocktail and rom was snappy again with v3
I think that flashing nrw kernel needs fresh rom to begin with...
dont enjoy just yet, v3.0.2 with small fixes is on his way. ahahah love to tortured your passion
Hi guys, I have a question, the kernel is "boot.img" that makes flash via fastboot?..
What I mean is that if you install the kernel I have to rename this file that you downloaded for "boot.img" and put in the command window "fastboot flash boot-i 0xfce boot.img" ..? one last thing, I need to backup or does not affect the applications that i have already installed on my phone? thank you very much to anyone who can help me with these questions..

hmm.. Sirkay, any time u will be uplaoding the fixed kernel? I am going out and wont be with PC... just on mobile... wont be able to flash new kernel till tonight.. have to revert to 2.5.1 since v3 isnt as efficient..
Done. link in first post
EDIT: dont forget to give me feedback as i made a standby kernel with diff freq and small fixes too ..
thanks, downloading now to get the correct file. hate what you did earlier, you got me there also. hahaha.
EDIT: Why not post that standby kernel also so we can compare it. ^_^
Here's my feedback:
everything perfect with kernel 3.0, instant deep sleep when screen off (no matter if Wifi on or off, etc).
With kernel 3.0.1 no more deep sleep at all, even with wifi off or forget network.
Installed 3.0 back and deep sleep is perfectly here again.
It might be specific to something with my setup, but to me 3.0 is perfect regarding battery drain issue.
(Using JJ's hybrid v3, did not full wipe between kernel changes, only cache wipe)
hth
Why do you make some kernels pre rooted and some not? Your latest one is not pre rooted so I had to flash the su fix. Y is this?

Never had the problem like yours. have you already flashed the Superuser attached in the OP the first time you flashed this rom?

First Thing First: How To Install Custom Kernel
1) You need to UNLOCK BOOTLOADER using one of these method. I'm NOT responsible of what you've decide. Please follow instruction carefully.
-> S1tool
-> Sony Mobile - Unlock Bootloader
2) Get this awesome tool called Flashtool and install. Dont forget to install usb drivers from "Drivers" folder too.
3) I assume you have download one of my kernel. Get into Fastboot mode. How? Do i have to repeat how? Press "Volume Up" while connecting your USB cable. you'll see Blue led.
4) Click "Flash" button on Flashtool, then select Fastboot Mode.
5) Choose "Select Kernel to Flash" and find your saved kernel. I'm not gonna find it for you.
6) Once completed, reboot device into system
Those version below was a final version xKernel for Xperia Ray. I might on a new
device next week due someone already booked my ray. Ive planned to give the
last version using 4.1.B.0.587 but unfortunately source published by Sony was
corrupted. Sorry guys, i cant afford to keep my ray. This is it.
Thank you for using my kernel.
