Unable to Flash Custom Rom
About a month ago I had a Samsung Galaxy SIII Model # SPH-L710. I had little to no problem flashing a custom rom onto it by rooting the phone, installing TWRP, and installing the zip file from the Cyanogenmod Website. Very simple and painless. That phone however ended up breaking so I had to get a new one of the exact same model.
Now, I've been having a world of trouble with this one. To start when I tried to flash the ZIP file in TWRP, it would give me a status 7 error, I was able to remove that by updating my md4 baseband using the md4 baseband flashable zip which was mentioned in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2303308
Once I did that the status 7 error went away, but now it's saying it cannot find the md5 file regardless of what custom rom I'm trying to install, it does say the install was successful, but all the log shows is that it couldn't find md5 file and then Successfully created partition tables and when rebooting the phone it gets stuck on the splash screen (though it IS the splash screen of the custom rom I was trying to install).
When trying to use CWM it says that it cannot even mount the SD card to install and ZIP file so I could not go very far with it and besides, the last time I did this I used TWRP just fine.
Any insight would be great.
