When flashing a ROM all you have to erase is Cache, Davlik Cache, and I do the Factory Reset and System, in TWRP. Then flash the ROM. When installing the same ROM but different version (i.e. from v 2.8 to v 3.0) all you have to wipe is Cache and Davlik Cache. Nothing internal is erased.

You should just hve to wipe cache and dslvik cache the install the new kernel. Always swirls for me

I tried to change navigation bar icon by using custom galaxy nexus one ... Reboot but nothing happened !!

I want the native N7 icons !!

Could u upload them to me ;)

It is a fantastic rom. It did not melt me face off or destroy my unborn afaik.

As far as your other questions they have all been answered by me before, but now were on page 50 so I'll recap. Since they are good questions.

DPI to 160: Read the 2nd post on the thread.
Ad Blocker not working: There is no ad-blocker in v2.8, v3.2 it was added back. Thanks for the reminder.
And it Enable Tablet UI in v3.2 go to ROM Control/General UI, then select UI Modes and select Tablet UI Mode. It will restart SystemUI and you will then see the chosen UI(v3.2). In previous versions you have to reboot for the changes to take effect.


I am uploading version 3.2 now. Why pplz alwyz click d0wnl0ad be4 dne? Please don't do this :) at least check the size of the ROM before you download, compare to previous zip.

thanks for the reply.. and help.

I just flashed 3.2 (not full wipe/dirty)
ads are gone! :)
hope the crazy dead screen/lockup is gone too... if not (i will do a full factory wipe/ reflash)

there seems to be something odd... going through aroma
it did not give me option for the apps to load: ie.. Flipboard, etc...
when it went to bootup.. the things to install is normally 255ish.. but this time it was only 121.
maybe after Launcher selection, i hit next twice by accident.. and i skipped that section?

pertaining to dual/mode and DPI 160... i have to edit the file (build.prop) in /systems directory.. which is not located on the memory storage area, it is in the internal memory?
then i have to use a file explorer like "root explorer"? I have "ES Explorer", can that access the same directory?

i have not looked.. but have you tried what we have suggested?

as I understand it.. this ROM does not have Flash Player built in.
so.. i use Foxfire browser.. and installed Flash Player version .27 (not the latest).

i tried all flash version with all browsers that support flash but nothing works...so sad... :( before i installed this rom i had xylon rom and flash was working great..so the problem is rom relating.

For some reason his version is really sluggish when setting up. Like it is bogging down. I did a full wipe, then cache, then dalvic and then installed 3.2 and it is really just lagging a lot. Might try to install again once my apps are restored from the Play Market. I just don't remember any of the other versions being like this. Weird!

Flash has never worked for me either, but that's okay because I don't use it much. This is the best ROM I have used

I had this same issue doing a dirty flash from 2.8 to 3.0. I wound up doing a clean flash of 3.0. I later dirty flashed 3.1 and then 3.2 with no problems.

    Installation Steps
    1. Backup current ROM via custom recovery
    2. Factory Reset, Wipe Cache, and Wipe Dalvik
    3. Flash Dirty AOKP v4.3.zip
    4. Choose the Aroma options you want.
    5. After selecting Additional Apps the ROM will be flashed
    6. Reboot when finished
    7. Enjoy!

    What features do you want to see added to Dirty AOKP? Apps, Mods, Kernels, anything, I will take every suggestion into consideration. :)

    Features wanted by users

    Dual-panel view - [ADDED]

    Note: For every release the base will be compiled same day.


    Tips

    • For status bar transparency to work you have to have a default launcher selected. This is what I experinced using Nova and the Stock Launcher.

    • Tablet UI Mode: If you want the Nav Bar/Status Bar to have vertically centered notification icons DO NOT adjust the Height of the Nav Bar.
    • When you enter Tablet UI(and select it) you should have not changed the Nav Bar Height. That is the only way it will look and stay vertically centered.
    • You may be able to changed it in Phablet UI, put it back to 48 dpi, then select Tablet UI, and reboot to enter Tablet UI. This may work I have not tried it yet.

    Nav Ring rework entails a new section in ROM Control. ;) Still a work in progress but it is working great.

    v5.1 will be amazing, PUB will be back, 4.2.2 Gapps added, kernel updates, and many other updates Ive yet to look into. :)

    I gotta work on getting KingBeatZ working correctly also. May end up going with v3.0.3, the last version with the BeatZ DSP manager.

    Lol I know I said like 2 days in a row that it was coming "today". I feel like both dirty ROMs need updated so I will TRY to do Dirty AOKP today(grouper, possibly tilapia too). Thank you all for your patience.
