You need the latest Search app and GoogleHome. The latest PA gapps have both. Or search for GoogleHome.apk and install that. (Odds are you have the latest search app, it rolled out on Play yesterday)

Oh, I still had the dePRIMAtor.zip (WMA/MPEG decode 4.3 kernel wi-fi patch) on my sdcard so I uploaded it in this post.

I had moved the HW decode patch into a different folder, not realizing that it wouldn't show up from my link. Apologies, and my mirror is up with all four files for anyone having trouble with Goo or DevHost.This was earlier in the thread for those looking for a mirror.

My bad, thought the HW decoder was the dePRIMAtor patch. Maybe you can include the patch in your folder as well. I found out ElementalX, a 4.3 kernel works just great with it, fixes no wi-fi on the FLO. :silly:

Launcher, Gel, etc- Been discussed
Install- Please.... Wipes and flash, if you do a dirty flash, you're asking for issues. If you don't know how to install, you don't need to be here.
Bootloader- Does this really need to be discussed? It's 4.4 Major version changes mean new bootloader.
Downloads- Try a different link, or download later.
Kernels- Please......... Go ahead and run patched 4.3 kernels, but better to wait for 4.4 kernels.
A lot of this stuff should have been in Q & A. I have left some things, as hopefully people will search the thread, BEFORE making a new post. If your post was deleted, it's nothing personal. It's because it was way too off topic or it was previously discussed. I hate deleting posts, but is necessary to keep the thread clean.
Any more app errors, and maybe you should wait for updated third party apps, or at the very least attach a "logcat". It's a development thread, not a "help thread".

Apk installation failed?
Hi, iam trying to install some APK's from storage, but they always fail to install, no issue with installing apps from Playstore, and ive installed the same APK on my galaxy nexus (4.3) never had this issue on my N7 when it was on 4.3, do you think it could be something to do with 4.4 (stock)? and i tried installing the APK on bothe Dalvic and ART.
Update: Fixed the issue, by moving the APK to /system/app

Had this same issue finally got textplus installed and now it force closes all the time did not have the issue with 4.3 and below

My root is gone? Flashed the odexed version with no problem and the bootloader, supersu said no binary is installed, not even after I updated it to the latest from the play store. I have tried reflashing it and fixing the root through twrp but still no root :/

Tried dirty flashing de-odexed version coming from CleanROM 1.7...aaaand profit! Everything seems to be working well so far. FC I had was on Google services which updated automatically. Wild Blood also gets FCs but I was gonna uninstall anyway. AOSP browser FCs when trying to open new incognito tab (boo!). Weird bonus though was with the stock email app with the no-pin exchange mod which I was running on CleanROM got updated to the new version (looks more like Gmail now which is great), and it didn't break sync or required me to update lockscreen security preferences. Will probably run this for a few days before trying odex + ART...anyone able to compare this with de-odex yet? Oh, scrolling on XDA app still sucks....works better on my ancient S2.

Go to setting ---> Developer options ---> Select runtime
if you don't see developer options go to ---> About tablet and tap build number until it displays ' you re a developer' and do step 1
If you look back a page or two there's a link posted for a zip file, you can flash elemental 1.8 and the zip mod and have double tap wake. I haven't tried it yet myself because I want to use it as-is for a little bit.

Correct. This is stock rooted as google produces it besides being rooted. Comes with all the G-Crapps.
