I finally picked up my LG G2 on Monday and just I as thought, I am extremely happy with this phone. All the things that I've been reading has been insightful and much like Semantics I really don't mind the LG OS, and am pretty satisfied thus far without any custom roms (at least for the moment). I did install Nova Launcher the next day, (purely out of curiosity) but wound up going back to the LG Home Launcher almost immediately. My wife picked up the Galaxy Note 3, and while there are some great things about it, I know I made the best choice for me.(I plan on playing around with both these devices purely for the fun of it, to better gauge their capabilities). At first I had some reservations about getting the LG -for like a split-second- Google had finally started releasing information for the Nexus 5, which I thought might be the more powerful choice, but aside from the Kit Kat onboard I don't think there's anything especially different from the G2, and it appears that the Nexus 5 was based off/inspired by the G2.
All in all I love the phone and am glad I made this choice, I wanted something that stood apart from the rest of the masses and I found it.
