[Q] Nexus 5 boot time

Hi all,

Is it possible to improve the boot time?

It takes about 1:30 minutes to have the phone up and running and almost 2 minutes to actually have everything loaded.

Just do a factory reset or delete some apps that start at boot.. This should decrease your boot time i guess..

i just used this app to see how long exactly it took my phone to boot https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=vog.com.aiv
it took exactly 17.4 seconds to boot, and i have 120 apps installed

I don't know why yours is so slow. I just checked mine and took 34 seconds. Everything was loaded in well under a minute.

Any app and rom feature will raise your boot time so xposed MODULES are concerned.

Carbon ROM with a few Xposed Modules here, 100 or so apps, I boot in 10-20 seconds.

I have 248 apps (including system apps) and I boot in 28s with AOKP.

I'm not sure but...

...I think Franco Kernel r48 would help you. I'm not 100%, but previous release (r48) promised a way faster boot time:

Try using Boot Manager (If you are rooted). Disable apps like Dropbox or any other unneeded non-system apps from running at startup. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.defim.apk.bootmanager
