Whats up with Social Hub?
It does not sync info with contacts and keeps notifying "Facebook session expired" Tried on this and Leo's ROMs same issue.
Have to believe this is a Samsung issue as every other Social Media app works from Friendcaster to tweetcast and the native apps will sync contact names only but not updates and media.
Used to be we could use Contacts to see their FB media and updates. Is there any other app which will sync FB updates and media with contacts?

I recently bought a GS2 and I must say, this ROM is incredibly stable!
One question though, is there anyway to improve the auto-brightness function? I would prefer to use it but it's usually way to dim and doesn't adjust itself properly. I tried searching within this thread but couldn't find anything. Apologies in advance if I'm missing something really simple here.

With the Cognition I had the same prob and I was verry disappointed with, but now I'm with the Leomar ROM and everything is fine. The sync in contacts and calendar works(social hub also - fb and tweeter) and I dont get any notifications about expired sessions or FCs. Maybe you need to make a wipe..

I flashed Leos as well and had the same issue but I didn't mess with it too much before coming back to Cog.... I will try it again.
I really liked the contact list being the go to for FB updates and especially the FB media...Right now all I get is"Facebook Session expired" within seconds of applying the PW ...
Funny FB Sync works via the FB app.. Just having issues with SNS account. Disabled all FB apps. Nothing worked. Yeah this is definitely a deal breaker for me. I just noticed it recently but really didn't give it much credence because of a pending ROM update. A search on Google reveals its an issue with a lot of devices. The numerous XDA Threads on the issue have not helped.
Oh well.....

So do I mate, but you can't live without it, can you? At the very least you areable to greet in time for birthdays, and while I rarely use FB, it's just one of those 'nice to have' things.
By the way I had absolutely no problems with this ROM in that regard - I wonder why other people are having them.

glad to hear someone is able to sync their contacts with FB...with updates across the top and thier pics in the Media tab?
To clarify.. Are all FB updates and your contacts media showing up when you open a contact or is iust just syncing the names. Mine will sync the regular FB account but not the one chosen from Social Hub which used to on the Captivate act as a "mini FB" and one could read the person's last update as well as check out their pics from the Contact list,
The issue is not so much about Whether or no FB is useful or not as I try to keep "friends" down to 100.....But to fix something that was working and a really great feature. Syncing contacts to calendars for B day reminders is nice to have.
I would pay for an App that could do what SNS is supposed to do. Maybe Buddies Now for ATT would work if I can find it.

iam dying for an update to this rom.. Im trying several new roms/same roms everyday but no other satisfies me like this one..
Kind of hard to judge a ROM in a day or less...
I have been running Leomar's Revolution for a few days now and so far it compares well. The Kitchen is a nice feature, I have SNS issues on both though. Even went back to rooted Stock KE7 and could not use SNS.
If this one satisfies you why do you need an update then

I always thought about trying them and particularly when endorsed by another who uses the same ROM as I have . But the devs of Cyanogen seem so friggin arrogant. I don't see anything there that would be an improvement over what the establish Samsung based developers are doing. They want to take Samsung completely out. I happen to like Samsung ROMs and what the devs do with them. No need to reinvent the entire OS to work with hardware that cannot be changed.
People should try other ROMs but give them a week or more. Flashing different ROMs everyday doesn't seem logical for testing under varied conditions, The battery takes a few days to settle in!!!!

Frankly i've been using Cognition for a while, but being used to my good old Desire with its perfectly bug free AOSP ROMs i found it really hard to stand how fugly and messed up Touch Wiz is: sure it's mostly bug free and just works, but it looks retarded and miles away from the functionality granted by CM, which still has some bugs to be ironed out, but at least is more usable and looks much more decent than stock. I've tried to customize TW ROMs in every possible way, and i actually managed to improve functionality by a fair bit, but still there are things bugging me to death, eg the utterly moronic clock lag while unlocking, which is so annoying to me that has turned to a total show stopper. I really hope that Samsung team releases ICS without any of their crap, otherwise if CM won't be perfectly bug free yet at that time and TW is still there sucking like hell i'm gonna sell this phone, no matter how much i like the hardware: software has proven to be more important to me this time.
Sorry for the rant guys, but this phone has been a huge PITA to me: not being able to settle down with a single ROM is a real nightmare, coming from a year of rock solid stability on my Desire. Maybe i'm just insanely picky but my pain is real, believe me

Just change the launcher? and dl widget unlocker. If those are the only things that bugs you =) Better browser, sound and video in samsung based roms.

Welcome to Cognition 777! The idea behind this rom is to unify my rom making efforts into a single rom for the i9100 and the i777 with only minor changes between them to make managing two or three roms take the time of one rom. I have decided to base everything on the i9100 stock firmware simply because it has less restrictions, more frequent updates, and way more options when it comes to customizations.
Based on I9100XWKJ3 firmware

Known Issues:
No real issues so far.
TouchWiz starting on page one is not a bug
The dialer call buttons go to the call log with no number typed (this is normal on i9100 roms)
NFC and Stay Awake don't stick after reboot (this is normal)
When on vibe only mode the vibe and mute icon appear in the notification tray (really guys?!)

Why is my battery draining so fast?
Testing the rom for less then a day and reporting a battery drain is like sticking your face in a blender and wondering why it hurt. Please calibrate your battery, check your apps usage, etc.
Why is this app not working(FC)?
When updating, tons of things can go wrong, especially with using old data on a new app. If you are getting an FC after updating, clean the cache on the app, if that doesn't work, clear the data. (Settings > Applications, find you app, click the buttons)17Good luck with your ROM, i'd stay up and wait to try it out if i wasn't falling asleep in to my keyboard
