TWRP is recovery software. It works slightly differently then CWMb recovery.

If kernel cleaner doesn't work:
Clear cache and dalvic and fix permissions

Could of just been frandom script in init.d if that other kernel was the test version its been smoother removed for most, then again Ktoonsez may have a better idea. I am glad you got it working, I knew you were in the right place, Ktoonsez kernel is for you and so is 4.2.2. I love it I have to say. Also still new but crossbreeder finally is running and developed good working upon initial install over many android builds now. Im using frandom enabled kernel and crossbreeder and its been more responsive and with a little less mhz even after applying build prop and tweaks to rom. I think you have been a good contributor and hope you stick around.

Do you mean that it just locks up and you have to do a battery pull ?

It locks up and becomes unresponsive, can't turn on/off the screen. Have to Power and Vol- to get it to reboot or yes, pull the battery. Flashing back to CM stock kernel fixes the issue.

Have you made any adjustments to the governor, clock speed, voltages or any other tweaks? What ROM are you on? What KT747 kernel version? Are You using the kernel cleaner found in the OP before flashing? These are important details to provide before anyone can even begin to help you.

I posted about it a few days ago to no avail. The kernel cleaner doesn't do anything that I don't already do but I run it for good measure. I already tried a full wipe without restoring anything and also not changing any ktweaker settings. It freezes on lock screen as well as in general on some occasions like when I try to type something and the keyboard loads, the screen will freeze. If Pandora is playing, it will continue to play until it hits the end of the track, then the music dies. Apps will crash for no apparent reason, even with data cleared. I'm at a loss

Just had a lock when I went to send a text, hit the address book link and the phone soft-rebooted (went to CM boot animation). I am running CM10.1 2-18-2013 build, kt kernel 2-8-2013. It's been with every release of KT's kernel since 12-24 until now. No other reports of issues like this on the CM thread.

Did you restore any data from a backup. Though it should be no issue in some cases just restored data can cause force closes all over. Uf i think of anything else ill be sure to mention it.

I did not restore any data whatsoever. When I did a clean wipe, I bypassed the setup screen and manually installed apps and setup my accounts.
