Cannot update htc one dualsim from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2 via OTA

Hi Team,

My name is sukhi. I am new to this comming fom samsung note2, but here is what my problem is. Few months back i got a new HTC one dual sim 802D in india and rooted it, also few few days later did a reset via bootloader(also as supid as i am i reset the system from TWRP, without taking a backup). from there the phone would not even move ahead from bootloader screen. it took me a good 4 months to get it working and then s-off(via sunshine). now it seems i am on stock 4.2.2(took some bootlooder and recovery) which worked and then the flashed this file, "M7DWG_CWM_Nandroid_Backup_CID_HTC__038_2.37.720.1" from CWM recovery(CWM-based recovery V6.0.3.7) now this is what my getvar looks like.

C:\fastboot>fastboot getvar all
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 2.49.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 1.01.32.0423

(bootloader) version-microp: None
(bootloader) version-main: 5.17.720.3

(bootloader) hbootpreupdate: 11
(bootloader) gencheckpt: 0
all: Done!
finished. total time: 0.076s

Now i have tried flashing OTA update vis internal/external Memory ...didnt help. it goes to the bootlaoder then quickly to CWM and within 2 seconds gives error and reboots. but i have noticed the android has a red triangle between him. other than that its hard to get the error as it is only there for 2 seconds. ok here is the OTA file name that i get, nay be this will help.
"1419196720510_PN07IMG_M7C_DWG_K44_SENSE55_MR_HTCCN_CHS_CT_4.21.1401.3_Radio_1237.28.34.0106_release_309439"

I would really appreciate if someone could help me.

thank you and regards,
Sukhi.

I don't think the kernel needs to be changed to apply OTA (providing the kernel remains the same on the OTA). Change recovery back to stock is a must before applying OTAs.
No, reverting to stock kernel is not a must. But note that when applying the OTA update, it will most likely reflash a new stock boot.img. This means you have to reflash 802Xtreem kernel after OTA is applied.

Hi,

I have HTC M7 DS 802d with custom ROM installed in it. I want to install another custom ROM, but I made a mistake. I did the factory reset, and when I want to install another custom ROM, it always failed. Right now my M7 DS has no ROM installed. What shall I do to bring mine back to life? Need help here.

CID HTC: 044
x.xx.707.x
S-OFF
HBOOT: 2.27.0000
OS: 2.35.707.2

Really Struggling

Hi

After working on my phone for 3 days now i thought this would be a good solution, but through CWM, and TWRP i cant get it to work.

The only ROM i've managed to sucessfully install, and load is VnOneDualSIM422_Clean. This gets my phone up and running, but battery life is horrendous, and many apps etc.. dont work correctly - looks like its native language is chinese.

I have tried Guru Reset M7 2.24.401.1

This installation seems to complete without issues (but does seem to be extremely fast for a 1gb file) then just automatically goes into bootloader when the phone starts.
Should this zip install work with the following steps :

(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 2.49.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: N/A
(bootloader) version-cpld: None
(bootloader) version-microp: None
(bootloader) version-main: 5.17.402.6
(bootloader) version-misc: PVT SHIP S-ON
(bootloader) serialno: HT3CKW900187
(bootloader) imei: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
(bootloader) meid: 00000000000000
(bootloader) product: m7cdug
(bootloader) platform: HBOOT-8064
(bootloader) modelid: PN0771000
(bootloader) cidnum: HTC__001
(bootloader) battery-status: good
(bootloader) battery-voltage: 3818mV
(bootloader) partition-layout: Generic
(bootloader) security: on
(bootloader) build-mode: SHIP
(bootloader) boot-mode: FASTBOOT
(bootloader) commitno-bootloader: dirty-1f512bb6
(bootloader) hbootpreupdate: 11
(bootloader) gencheckpt: 0

Thanks for your time - i hate asking when the information is out there , but after around 10 different roms, & days of trying i felt it was time to ask someone who actually knows what theyre doing who can no doubt tell me in seconds what im doing wrong :crying:

S-off 802D flash RUU through sdcard does not work

I downloaded this RUU file, renamed it into PN07IMG.zip, and put into the root of the sdcard

PN07IMG_M7C_DWG_K44_SENSE60_MR_HTCCN_CHS_CT_5.15.1 401.4_Radio_1237.28.34.0106_NV_NVMFG_CT_4.22_001_r elease_373021_signed_2.zip - 1.16 GB

When hboot starts, it sees the zip file, did a temporary parsing, then showed something like 'finishing ... zip', and then nothing else. It never gets flashed. If this is not correct, then how to flash RUU for HTC One 802d (x.xx.1401.x)

My current configuration:
HBoot 2.49, Android 4.4.2, Sense 5.5
S-off

Shall I start with a different RUU file?
Or shall I do this instead to flash RUU?
fastboot oem lock
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip PN07IMG_M7C_DWG_K44_SENSE60_MR_HTCCN_CHS_CT_5.15.1 401.4_Radio_1237.28.34.0106_NV_NVMFG_CT_4.22_001_r elease_373021_signed_2.zip

i hope someone can answear my question :D
i tried to change the battery and i broke my htc one m7c_dwg
i sent it to regenersis in germany, they sent the phone to poland to repair it, i got it back, but now its a m7c_dug:confused:
ok, i had to unlock the bootloader again and s-off
they changed the model-id to 771000, if i change to model-id 751000 and the version-main to x.x.1401.x, do i have again a m7c_dwg from china telecom and can flash the firmware for x.x.1401.x?
