Doesnt work on Rooted Motorola Defy with stock Froyo

plays sound for a sec then goes back to search screen:rolleyes:

Netflix works on OG Droid

Netflix is working perfectly on the OG Motorola DROID.

What works:
Using the modified Netflix apk, the "device check disabled" one.

What does not work.
Using the regular apk, you get an "Device not supported error"
Modifying build.prop, you still get the "Device not supported error"
Modifying the build.prop AND using the device check disabled modified apk, Netflix works but you get the "chipmunk" effect. (i.e. It streams at twice the speed.)

shows up in my app store. got the "device not supported" message.

devicecheck-disabled.apk gets the stream working but it crashes and goes back to queue after a few seconds of audio.

Doesn't work on inspire either sound is there but video is white screen.

Not working here. Used the mod 2 because the first one i tried would crash after logging in.

With the mod 2, it lets me log in but browse my que, but when i play i get a "can't connect to server" type error.

Interesting I wonder if this is why others are getting the chipmunk effect.

Installed the version of the .apk with the device check disabled on my stock Droid X.

Just got done watching Superman/Batman: Apocalypse.

I love all you tireless workers.

Hopefully, rooting it won't kill it.

The above apk worked for me when other's failed!!!! Didn't even have to edit build.prop (which didn't work for me with other Netflix apk's anyhow).

    The attached files are modified versions of the stock market V1.3
    I have edited some xml files to add screen rotation while browsing or streaming. I have also altered the loading screens to GREEN, ORANGE, PINK, and BLUE, along with keeping the Netflix RED. The icons are created by me and correspond to the color of the loading screens. Nothing else has been touched.

    The current 'HD' Netflix apps floating around xda have been proven to be nothing more than some WM Codec files copied and pasted into an android app. It was proven that they provide NO added functionality and that no changes to the app were actually made [besides rotation]. Use the 'HD' apps at your own risk, and if you have extra space to spare.

    Netflix will soon actually support 1080p streaming!
    "Netflix streaming at full HD 1080p resolution on Android mobile devices could be with us imminently, with the news that Texas Instruments‘ OMAP4 platform has become the first to be Netflix HD certified.     For those who had to modify their build.prop to get Netflix to work correctly, try using this apk file instead of modifying your build.prop. You may get a date and time error, just got back into the Netflix app and you should be OK. I've disabled the device check in the apk.

    If the list says it works, it could be any one of these apks. It is too much to list it out for every device and ROM:

    When browsing your que and any movies, by default you are stuck with portrait mode. When streaming you are stuck in landscape mode.

    Enabled rotation means when you turn your phone while browsing/streaming, the app will change its orientation. i.e. browse in landscape stream in portrait.

    These first three are the files from the first post: I have only enabled rotation in them. Everything else is exactly as it was.

    Thanks to ften for mod-2 and devicecheck disabled versions and thanks to skyjedi for the original.
