I believe you will need to odin back to MJ9 in order to use safestrap. I don't think there is a fix for safestrap on ND3 yet.

If you go to Droidstyle's guide here: ( http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=34891181 ), and then go to section 1b of the guide, you can revert back to MJ9 by following the guide's instructions. You'll want to use the stock file for (VRUEMJ9 4.3) if you're wanting to revert back from ND3.

After you ODIN back to VRUEMJ9 4.3, you can get root access with saferoot. Here's the link to saferoot-- ( http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2565758 ).

After you get rooted, you can currently only use safestrap to run custom Touchwiz ROM's. This has to do with needing to use the stock kernel with current version of safestrap. Here's the safestrap thread: ( http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2704992 ) The ROM slots are not working yet in safestrap, so you'll have to install the custom Rom over the stock ROM if you want to use it. I don't know a lot about the actual process, as I am still on 4.1.2 with unlocked bootloader... so have not tried it out. I'm sure others could help with safestrap if you run into problems if you decide to try it.

Hope this helps and remember to hit the thanks button for Droidstyle & the Developers who make all this possible :).

Good luck.

I can't get ODIN to communicate with my note SCH-i605. Driver doesn't show up under device manager. Scan for device changes and nothing. Suggestions how i can install drivers manually?

I did a quick Google search and found lots of info out there, so you might just keep searching until you find a solution. Here's some quick ideas....

You have probably already done this, but make sure to enable USB debugging under developer options.

I'm assuming your computer is running Windows. If you haven't done this already.... go to the Samsung site and install the mobile device drivers for the sch-i605. Here's the link -- http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SCH-I605TSAVZW

You could also try uninstalling the phone's drivers that are currently there and reinstalling them to see if this helps. Some people say that trying different USB cables and different USB ports on your computer can help. You can also try running Odin as Administrator.

Here's a Youtube video that says if you take out your battery while you have the phone hooked up to the computer with Odin running..then it's supposed to help Odin recognize it -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YO7TVY2UXEY -- looks worth a try.

Good luck
