I've been using your ROM since you first released it and have to say it's been great! I'm currently running v3, but have tried the v3 Odin and v4 releases. I gotta say the Odin image and v4 seem a lot faster/smoother than v3 (which was already fast/smooth) but I had to go back to v3 due to an issue.

What I run into is under Settings --> Call Settings --> All Calls --> Call status tones. If I check either or both of the Call connect tone and Call end tone boxes, when I make a call, the dialer crashes and the call disconnects as soon as the other party picks up. It also crashes when someone calls me and the call ends.

It's not a big issue (I'm not sure how many people even use this feature), but for me it's kinda important.

Again, awesome job on the ROM! I'll keep running v3 for now.

Thanks... not sure why Final 3 works and V4 doesn't... both are using the same dialer and I didn't change anything that would cause that.

Works for me on v4.... maybe a bad flash.

I don't really use the call status tones options, but I was curious about this so I gave it a try. When placing a call, the dialer crashed when the other party picked up, BUT the call did not disconnect (a bit different from darkelf's problem). I got the force close notification window, but the conversation could continue. When receiving a call, the dialer crashed when the call ended. In both cases, there was no log of the call afterward in the dialer since it crashed.

Since I never use this option, I can't say if it was like this on the v3 version for me. Maybe others can give it a try, too.

You shouldn't have that issue with a Froyo rom. You could try a different kernel or reset some GPS settings. For the most part our GPS is like a housewife - it works when it pleases, and usually just eats up resources the rest of the time

when i first opened market, signing in and and it updates itself.. the usual stuff... and when i rebooted and opened market again, it crashed. i cant open market at all at the moment.

2 things come to mind to try:

System settings > Applications > Manage applications > All tab > Google Play Store > Clear data

then try it again

Also you may want to install Titanium backup when it opens hit you menu button and select Market Tools...

Try the Market Doctor.

What's the difference between 2.2 and 2.2.1? I don't think I've ever gone past 2.2.
Is 2.2.1 still considered froyo?

Yes, 2.2, 2.2.1,.2.2.2,.2.2.3 are all Froyo... 2.2.# is Froyo.

Like Moped said, it depends. I have found mostly with this ROM it is all about location. Sometimes it takes up to 10 minutes to connect, but today for example outside on a clear day it took less than 5 seconds. Try it in different places.

fishman or moped, I don't know if this is related to the rom at all (don't think so) but maybe you can help, I have had a popup recently telling me there has been a change to my google account and to re-sign in, when I try it doesn't recognize the password (I triple checked the password and it is right) Any thoughts? I am a tiny bit worried its some sort of phishing scheme but I have run ad network detector and everything seems ok.

Nevermind...fixed the problem. Had to go into my account and change the password, then change it on my phone. Weird, but fixed!

nice.. this update came just in time. I just got my galaxy nexus.. which is now running Jelly Bean, so I was going to clean up and reflash my vibrant. to use a backup phone / music player / reader
