Notes:

  • 2.5, LT, & LT Hybrid being moved to AFH
  • Also: Turn off updates from Samsung apps. It places the apps and features back into system/apps, and renders them useless. This goes for all builds.
  • We will be releasing various bug fixes via small flashable zip files.
  • Please clear Dalvik Cache and Cache partition before installing on top of beta 2. You need the runtime cache cleared so new apps may work properly.
  • Clean Flashing Beta 2 will need Update 1 to fix keyboard issue.
  • To Enable Particle lockscreen effect on LT open your favorite Database editor, open Settings Storage>Settings>System Search for "lockscreen_ripple_effect" change value to 3. Save & reboot.

If making the switch from regular LikeWise S5 to LT, PLEASE CLEAN FLASH. If you don't clean flash, bloat won't be removed, & toggles will not appear, also bug reports will not be considered.

DOES NOT NEED INCREMENTAL UPDATES.


The Difference? It just may be enough to make the switch.

I don't think it is advisable to try to go for 4.1 as it may brick device if he is on 4.3 bootloader

Try to find out by terminal emulator

    This is important! Please read!


    Saw your post in Q&A, and though I love Mobile Odin, this is one area it cannot work in. If a rom/mod/anything requires updated firmware, do not use Mobile Odin as it was specifically designed to not flash the full firmware. Chainfire did this to try and prevent people from bricking their devices. Mobile Odin doesn't do the same device or software revision checks that Odin does so too many people would end up flashing firmware not intended for their device! This was a great idea at the time, and still is so long as people like me remember to include this in their OP's! (Ill add it!)

    Unfortunately, the consequences of not knowing about this limitation are about to get much worse. When the official kk firmware for our device finally does get released, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT use Mobile Odin to apply the initial update!!!!!!

    Mobile Odin does still flash the modem portion of the firmware, and if you flash the 4.4.2 modem on 4.3 firmware, it will hard brick the device! And so far in the other forums we have not been able to get the debrick method to work on this anymore! Meaning as of right now, there is no cheap way to recover from this brick!

    Once you have flashed the FULL 4.4.2 update via PC Odin or OTA, you can then use Mobile Odin all you want.

    I hope I didn't cause more confusion with this post, but if you have ANY questions or something isnt perfectly clear.....ASK!!!! I am going to do my best to get this info out so as few people as possible brick their phones when our update gets here. So I do not mind any questions about this here or anywhere else. I'd rather you guys be safe and not just assume anything with regard to what I just wrote.

    Apologies for not having the info already in my OP. I will add it asap.

    LikeWise Beta 2.5 has been released!! Huge thanks to @lemonboi5 for the update! Links to download in the OP, wipe is recommended but not a requirement. Rebased to a Hybrid between AT&T's NE4 Update and Sprints ND8 update. Happy flashing! :good:
