That's not true... Cutting through a screen protector would really be an extreme and very rare damage. Most objects capable of scratching a screen (sand, for example) would do just the same to the protector film - scratch it. It would take MUCH more to cut through it...

I've been using copter screen protector for the last 5 years and maybe 8 phones and have never been disappointed with it. My pockets usually contain a fair amount of sand and gravel but I wouldn't let that stop me from using tech while i work. I wouldn't wanna give gorilla good odds in that environment so i always apply a screen protector immediately after unboxing. When I have used a phone up the screen is always in virgin state while you can read the miles upon the casing and camera lense. For this reason a touch screen phone actually works better than a low tech one in my line of work.

Default I prefer to use protection

Gorilla Glass is strong but it CAN BE scratched.
