There is no way their team can produce enough widgets for all the various apps that users would want widgets for. I'm pretty bummed because it looked so nice and the concept is great.

That is exactly my opinion. Just look at their settings widget so far. They just link to the settings for Dispay i.e. no widget so far is interactive or customizable.

It is quite a shame, that they deliver first impressions like those. I so hope they improve until 15.

They've been updating it frequently, but everytime it wipes out the home screen layouts. Very annoying.

Now officially released! I it still need a lot of widget, and but it looks great.

I love how all the widget merge together. On my Nexus 7 I'm now using it full time over my nova launcher. I can't wait for the phone version.

Just shows how diverse we all are. I hate it on my Nexus 7, the titles for the various widgets take up too much space and there's limited functionality. I know the potential to do great things is there but to be honest I was miffed when I realized that they bait and switched us on Kickstarter, using locally cached data and custom widgets that tapped into that to make their video demos during the campaign. It came to light on the beta forums when people kepth asking why things didnt look as good as on the videos but I dont think anyone made a huge stink over it. Classic example is how the RSS widget they're shipping Chameleon with does not support images which makes home pages populated with it boring. Again obviously the potential is there . .. but at $10 for something this plain to look at, that's too expensive right now.

Default 1.1

1.1 is supposed to be released at the end of this week and supports native widgets outside of Chameleon.
