EFS restored but signal indicator messed up
I've been on an AOSP ROM for some time but got sick of not having a reliable camera. I don't often flash my phone anymore and I don't have the time to stay up to date with every issue that comes along.
Consequently I thought it was a good idea to flash a ROM based on the Samsung 4.2.2 leak.
My EFS folder got hosed and I lost my IMEI/cell connection etc.
After a good few hours panicking and wrestling with multiple EFS backups I have (most of which didn't work) I finally got my EFS folder restored using an old backup I had taken with EFS Pro, last year.
My phone is now working again, after a fashion - I have my IMEI and cell connection back, and I'm currently on a backup of Rootbox ROM which I was using a few weeks ago.
The only issue is that my Phone Status has a strange random number under "Signal Strength" and Mobile Network State says "Disconnected", although this is not true - my data, calls and text messages are all working fine. My signal indicator in the status bar is also blank, as if I have no signal (but I do).
Clearly something is still wrong, and I'm loathe to start messing round with it again now, but I really want to get onto a Samsung ROM so I can have a camera that works properly.
Can anyone suggest what is wrong/what I can do/what the risks are now my phone is in this state?
