I reluctantly went back to stock, until they fix the fast battery drain issue and audio quality issue.

I know, I'm never far away from a charger but I have noticed that there is a serious battery issue going on. I will say after flashing a new modem and power management images from the latest stock builds, my battery life got noticeably better, though my bluetooth reception is way down.

Is it just me, how come most ROMS start out smooth then just deteriorate over time. I joined this ROM on build 12, started out nice, then it just tanked from there. The thing I love about ROMS is how they smooth out the system, but then at the same time bring a plethora of issues. Now if they are working off the AOSP 4.2.2 code, then Google did a crappie job with the code. Hope in 5.0 things run smoother.

You fix one thing, then something else creeps around the corner. I need a solid day to day phone.

I couldn't agree more, although some of the builds are really nice. But when it comes down to it if you just need the damn thing to work, stock at least gets you there in most cases.

The fast battery drain issues are related to CPU utilization, as far as I can tell. "Something" causes the CPU to stay at peak utilization and not ramp down like it should. A reboot fixes this, and it lasts for a day or so, then happens again. I notice because the back of the phone feels hot when I pull it out to answer an email.

It is frustrating, because besides this issue (which started after the 3/17 build - aka when they went to the new kernel) the rom is great for me.

also, if there are bugs, or if you have problems with a certain build, read the OP and go to the Q&A page:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2071252

Just to clarify, cm10 (4.1.2) and cm10.1 (4.2.2) are two distinct projects. Soon after Google released the 4.2 code, all development effort for the d2 series of devices moved to cm10.1. This was announced by Cyanogen on Google plus and invisiblek stated this as well on xda(maybe even in this thread).

There has not been a cm10 based nightly for this device in 2013 to my knowledge. So all you guys talking about March nightlies should be discussing it in the cm10.1 Q&A thread or the unofficial/official cm10.1 development threads.

I've experienced this issue several times over the past week or so. At first I couldn't figure out why all of a sudden my phone kept getting hot but then realized when looking at CPU Spy. I ultimately resolved it by going to Lean Kernel. Currently I am on Mastamoon's 4/17 unofficial with LK 5.4.2 and everything is running great. I did have an issue initially with Maps killing my battery but fixed that by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Probably will stick with this combo for a while.

Hey guys. I'm running the 10.0 stable release and everything works fine except a couple things.

1) Sometimes when I click the Power button, it's like the screen wants to turn on, but it doesn't. The lights come on for the buttons, but not the screen.
2) Sometimes when I record, re-record, etc.. videos to send on Snapchat, the phone reboots.

I'd recommend moving to CM10.1

CM10 is not developed at all for this device anymore. Hasn't been for quite awhile actually.

IMO this thread should be locked...
