No update here. Hoping that it really is starting to roll out. Even if it's just a test batch that means we are close.

Sent from my Sprint LG G2.

It didn't, and it still hasn't been updated.

Dude. ....yes, it does. And has been since it was released. I almost bought it over the G2 because of that reason. Do some research.

Dude, I did do the research. I have yet to find anywhere that says spark was enabled out of the box. In fact, I have found and read much that says the exact opposite. Nexus 5 is still waiting on the ota to enable spark.

Ok, well I'm a lil confused then. But neither what you linked and what i posted are pure evidence. And sprint reps don't know sh*÷ ever....So that doesn't mean much.

I suspect part of wait for 4.4 is that Sprint put a lot of resources into the 4.2 Spark Update when they would have been otherwise testing KK, other carriers were able to get more QA time on the new release and Sprint is playing catchup. (Personally, I wish they'd waited for KK to do Spark)

Right on. I think spark update hurt my data connections sometimes. Especially when at work and lose signal, sometimes it causes data connection to not even try and connect for many minutes. I can toggle data, airplane mode- nothing. And I'm not rooted....yet. figured I might as well wait till KitKat comes out before rooting.

I was wondering about that. Didn't know if doing what you recommended would inhibit any of the LTE "functions"and haven't had time to research it. Since you found it helpful, I am going to try it. Thanked also!?

You're right that they don't. But, there are discussions here on XDA about enabling the bands on your own and about the lack of ota. I'd say that says it all.

Nexus 5 can connect to other bands, but it's buggy hence why it needs the Spark update. (Exactly the same reason we needed the Spark update, even after enabling the Bands on ZV8 or ZV7.)

Although, no source code has been posted so the OTA is not rolling out now.

Anyone gotten the supposed update? Or was that guy just trolling.

Sprint care legitimately posted that on Twitter. However, I feel the information wasn't correct. The people behind sprintcare twitter page know hardly anything more than what's already public knowledge.

That what I was thinking too Ascertion, unless they are going to push it tomorrow(later today since its 12:44am where I'm at) and the per published that early but who knows until it actually drops.

I was not calling it troll in the usual since, more like the rep not knowing enough.

I wouldn't be surprised if the rep was referring to the rollout at T-Mobile, AT&T, etc. Meaning LG has pushed it to some phones, not necessarily to any on Sprint.

Figured i would start this thread seeing as the Verizon has its own now. This way all of the sprint rumors, speculation and or whatever involving the 4.4 update can be put here. This way we are not digging through so many pages to find a few that relate to the sprint variant.

I'm more looking forward to a pre-rooted upgrade.zip over the OTA.

PC will be in Ubuntu while I am at work. @Savoca has the kernel ready. Just need to undo the wifi tether so it patches correctly to test. Rest assured we'll be testing one in short order.

I know you all are excited for KK, but I would strongly advise not going about this on your own for now unless you're on COMPLETELY STOCK ZVA (no TWRP, no root). While you might be successful otherwise, I wouldn't play with it right now. There are some issues right now that devs are actively working on.

In case you're thinking "gee -viperboy-, you're sure a stick in the mud!", as a dev, I have some idea of what I'm doing, and while testing something out for this, I am unable to get into download mode anymore. Someone else lost LTE during testing. These issues will all be figured out soon, but I really hope people heed my advice and hang on for a little bit longer.
