Default hd2 with volume key broken...how to install wp7 with magldr

hi guys,

I would like to install wp7 on my hd2, unfortunatly the volume keys are broken (the phone falled down some months ago), so evenif I can try to install magdlr than I couldn't move down to step 5 to flash Wp7

Any idea? is there a way to make the phone start magdlr already with the option 5 selected and run?

Thank you very much for your help.
Luca

You install cwm touch recovery so you don't need the volume buttons if you ever want to install android. goo.gl/0yPBR

naaa I can't believe there is not option to make MGLDR start directly simulating the pressing of an option! ... Unfortunatly I can't fix the button as already changed the display when the phone fallen down ...and when I re-assembled unfortuntly I missed the 2 pin that make contact to the board for the volume ...But I don't understand why I can update the 6.5 version just using the ruupdate and can't update with wp7 with the same method

it's called a different installation process...they are 2 different os! plus, with wp7 you need magdlr and set the last24nand and clearmbr. you don't use magdlr to install wm6.5.

how can you be missing the 2 contact pins? they are part of the board. you must mean the plastic volume rocker. just reinstall the rocker or use a pin to make contact with the required volume contact.

You can do it ... I have similar problem ...
I have working only volume up button, power up , and windows key

So if volume pass connected to phone than -> remove the plastic -> take screwdriver -> the volume up button you can find the pin in the center -> go till one side up from usb flasher -> then on the side down you have another three pins -> touch the first simeosly with second (central) pin -> it will start the flash usb

Atherwise contact with cottula

sorry for my ugly language ...

uhm probably you have never opened your hd2 (lucky you!!) ...it's not so easy...the volume key is a little bar linked to the mainboard of the phone. In this bar you have 2 electrict contact for vol up and down. on these contact they attached something like 2 little green bubble that when you click on the plastic it press on the bubble and the bubble press on the contact..now i have missed the green bubble

I realized too much later that the two little bubble that I found around aren't something "unusefull" but something EXTREMALY usefull!!

Ok, now I should re-open the phone, and try to make contact with the phone open and it's not so easy...it would be more easy if magdlr could start automaticly in the flash mode.

thank you anyway.
Luca
